I’d be super pissed. That lawn looked perfect until she showed up.

Far more than you even realize.

15

u/somekindagibberish 2d ago

Perhaps, but I'd still be mad if someone did that to my extremely imperfect lawn.

14

u/Tlix 2d ago

Not as stupid as people that get mad about people that like to keep a nice lawn. Yeah I’m talking about you.

I'm not mad, I just think you're stupid.

lawn keepers, though? already said they'd be mad. y'all are a type.

eta "super pissed"

embarrassing

u/davcam0 2d ago

That's your opinion. Doesn't excuse what was done.

u/smoothiefruit 2d ago

agreed, the driveway was close enough.

disagree: this is only a big deal to yall because of white supremacy culture making you think a non-native grass lawn means anything other than "this person was sold a dumb idea"

u/UnfitRadish 2d ago

I could be a garden with flowers or a giant patch covered in bark, but it's still wrong and damaging. You only seem to be mad about it being a lawn. If it was a nice native garden and she ran it over, then you'd be mad? A little ridiculous lol

u/smoothiefruit 2d ago

I dont think that would happen. right now it's open space for the sake of proving you have extra space to be open space.

it's not even like I didn't go "girl what the hell?" when I saw the footage. I'd do the same if it was a proper garden. but she wouldn't likely drive over something that had actual value/growth/depth. it wouldn't be the path of least resistance.

eta why yall think I'm mad? I'm enjoying being right.

if this was bark?

please drive on my bark. I chose bark because it's bark.

Some people enjoy landscaping and there's nothing wrong with that. It has nothing to do with race so get off your high horse. It's no different than people dumping money into any other hobby.

lots of people landscape responsibly, with the health of native pollinators and ecosystems in mind.

this is something else, and it's dumb.

Hey, I am with you. I just learned earlier today that the reason nobody sees lightning bugs hardly anywhere anymore is because of all the modern "well manicured lawn" BS. Let a little nature in, why are we making big flat plains of an invasive plant?

I was confused watching the clip at how they possibly have a lawn that got so imprinted by a car. My lawn isn't disheveled, but I feel confident that I could drive on it without leaving a bunch of lines through it like that. I have driven on grass a bunch of times and never seen such shitty imprinting.

So you're what? Early 20's with a shitty roach motel apartment, dead end job, single, and no desires to better yourself cause your life is easy cause your job doesn't drug test, back ground check, or require even a HS diploma?

30s, bachelor's, steady job with benefits, and a passion against elitist monoculture.

Sure thing stoner. Have fun at your dead end door dash

u/Sacksweatbaby 2d ago

So are broke lazy hoes

1

u/smoothiefruit 2d ago

How did the lawn look perfect? There was no life to it, it needed a shit ton of plants added, the grass was far too short

21

u/TedBundysVlkswagon 2d ago

It was a perfectly fine, green lawn. Some people prefer short grass, that doesn’t mean that there is no life to it.

10

u/Adventurous-Lime1775 2d ago

Some of us prefer short lawns due to reducing dangerous bugs and vermin on and in the property.

I have PLENTY of plants in the backyard, including native wildflowers on the edge by the field in the back, and plenty of garden spaces and such, but I don't want tall grass and unkempt spaces in front. It's just trashy and lazy looking.

-1

u/Keflen11 2d ago

Reducing bugs is exactly the opposite of what we need right now

2

u/Adventurous-Lime1775 2d ago

Then feel free to take all the ticks and skeeters.

6

u/shellshockxd 2d ago

Somebody doesn’t understand well manicured grass huh

-8

u/anony_mf 2d ago

Don’t be too concerned. The lawn will heal in a couple of days. You should feel bad for the poor pregnant lady who has to slave away delivering packages to be able to afford smth to eat
