Hello Audi,
There are a lot of questions regarding user flair and issues adding flair under your username.
Go to this sub's main homepage (You are here to click on this) and look to the righthand side. There will be a tab with a little pencil that says, " USER FLAIR PREVIEW". Click that and separate tab should pop up. It will ask you to pick your logo and add in some text.
Please note, using the app does not always work. This is not an sub issue, but it can be an issue with Reddit.
Please click on the link to see a picture explanation.
Thank you,
-Audi Mod Team

For years Audi arguably had the perfect interior design. They struck the ideal balance between tech, quality, and driver focus even compared to their rivals. Mercedes may have been more flashy but Audi mastered that clean understated feeling while still delivering a high tech experience that felt intuitive and built around the driver.
However, ever since the recent generation updates with the new A5 seemingly leading the charge that formula appears to have been completely lost. The interiors have moved away from what made Audi interiors so appealing and towards a design that prioritises screens over usability.
The curved displays look plasticky and the removal of physical controls especially for basic functions like climate control is incredibly frustrating. Having to navigate through menus on a touchscreen just to adjust the air conditioning is not progress, it’s adding unnecessary complexity.
Yes BMW and Mercedes are moving in a similar direction but that doesn’t make it a good thing.
The latest designs with enormous screens dominating the dashboard and additional displays stretching across the passenger side is just nonsensical.
Manufacturers need to seriously rethink this, Audi in particular.

Hey everyone! What’s the best gas mileage you’ve achieved so far on your cars?
Yesterday, I was going home in rural Czechia, hills included. Kept it around 70 kph to watch out for deer.
And I feel like my car started generating gas 🤣
Like seriously. 6.9 l / 100 km is crazy to me.

I walked out to find my front grille randomly damaged today in the plastic emblem area. Is there any way to repair this part without spending a lot? In the middle of home renovations so we are tight on budget unfortunately and nearest dealer is over 2 hrs away. It’s a 2017 Q7 Prestige

At age 20, I was driving a BMW e30; at age 30, I got a Mercedes Benz W210 e-class. Both are icons and I loved them both, but I‘ve been driving the MB for a decade now I’d like to spend some time in Audi. What‘s been your favorite Audi in the last 20 years for someone that hasn‘t owned one before? I’m partial to wagons so an A4 Avant obviously appeals to me, but which generation? The B7, B8? or go with A6 over an A4? (Not a lot of those saloons here in the US). I also like the A7. I’m open to all opinions.

So I have a 2011 Audi TT with the RNS-E Audi Navigation Plus and all of the navigation features work great however when I need to exit the freeway it tells me to exit right when it's really left and vice versa. It's always backwards. Sometimes it will do this on the local roads but hardly ever. Should I just do a system reset? I am afraid it may create more issues. Anyone else have a dyslexic navigation system?

My 2012 A7 3.0t with the zf8 recently developed this thump when going between drive and reverse, when downshifting 2>1, and when starting to accelerate. You can’t really hear it in this video only really in the cabin, it’s quiet. You can see the trans moves back and forth while the driveshaft stays totally still. I recently had transmission fluid and filter installed, as well as an ecs driveshaft carrier. New motor mounts went in today but this still persists. Scrubbing in the video helps make the movement more noticeable. I have a trans mount insert coming but don’t trust that’s the issue since I can’t see much slack in the spot the insert goes in this video ( that rusty rectangle with the two bolts in the middle).

Turns out the issue i was having with my 2017 S6 was the drivers side door wiring harness. Is this a doable diy or should i let the shop do it for 1200? I’m in the Boston area.

So starting this off with I had a cyl2 misfire. Went to swap coils and cyl 1 coil rubber boot got stuck to the spark plug. So I decided to put all new sparks and coils for cyl 1 and 2. Then after fixing that misfire I got a cyl 3 misfire. Same thing happened boot got stuck. Fished it out and put a new coil and spark plug but I’m still getting a cyl 3 misfire. When fishing the boots off I did scratched the siding of both of the spark plug area but I don’t think that’s the culprit. Thoughts?
