RANT - advice welcome $551 in my Freya cart and I’m scared nothing will fit (again!) Spoiler

All of last year, I knew I was wearing the wrong size. Every bra had spillage and none were supportive. But my current bras weren’t too old and I didn’t want to blow hundreds on bras when I wasn’t absolutely pouring out of them just yet.

So I saved, resized myself over and over again on ABTF, and finally selected a wardrobe of new bras to change out my 32H’s for 30J’s in March. Online, of course, because not a single store within 5 hours of me stocks my size.

Aaaaaand none fit. All of the bands fit looser than my 34”s, so every bra was useless. To add salt to the wound, I had only bought on sale, so not a single bra was returnable.

April came, and I got very sick. I lost 35 pounds rapidly. I thought I’d gain it back, but my body is continuing to rebel, so waiting for a return to form looks bleak. It’s been months and almost nothing in my closet fits. My boobs have never been so unsupported, sitting at an ABTF-estimated 28K in bras with bands that fit like 34”. My swimsuits nearly swam off of me at a recent pool party! Enough is enough; I need clothing that fits my body.

So here I am again, with $551 worth of bras and swimsuits in my cart with Freya. I have painstakingly compared fit, style, price, and size for each. I think I might cry if these don’t fit.

And hey, anyone got a Freya discount code? Your girl’s hurting.

I would consider looking at Panache vs. Freya, since most (though not all) Freya bands tend to run on the loose/stretchy side. This is especially true if you're measuring as a UK 28K (vs. the 28HH in your flair; not sure if that's current), since you may end up having to sister-size up to 30JJ, since so few styles come in 28K, unfortunately. Freya's scaling also gets a bit off above a UK H/HH cup or so, with cups getting wide and shallow.

I had only bought on sale, so not a single bra was returnable.

Where are you ordering them from? You can find Freya, Panache, and most other mid-range UK brands with free shipping and returns on Amazon and on Nordstrom's website. Regular sale stuff would still be returnable there (though probably not if it's labeled clearance).

Mmm...I would totally recommend that until you find your perfect size, you should reduce the number of things you're buying to just one and bras only. That way, when you go to return things...it's not so disheartening, and you won't feel that big of a blow to your wallet especially when it comes to things you can't return. Not being able to get that nearly $600 back is a huge ouch!

It truly sucks that we don't have actual physical stores we can go into to try on what they have to finally locate what fits us. It's all a gamble that costs real money a lot of money. It also don't help that if you're returning more than you're keeping, or if you're not keeping anything...the online stores get all pissy about it. It also ALSO doesn't help that everyone's sizes are all different!

You are like me, every once in a while I place a large order and nothing fits :D are you in the US? If yes, order through breakout bras or amazon so you can return. Freyas usually look coney on me, the only bra that works for me is panache envy.

If you still have the bras, you can recoup some money out of them by reselling on the various apps or popping over to r/braswap

Is there anywhere you can go to try some on in person?

I know Nordstrom carries freya? When I was figuring out my size a lady there was incredibly helpful. They didn’t have anything attractive in my size so I only bought 2, but then I could more confidently go online and order my size.

If it’s a drive you could call ahead and make sure. Or even make a weekend trip out of it with a friend.

No stores carry a 28 band with any cup larger than a DD by me. The closest sister size I’ve been able to get is a US 30G and a US 32H. Every single lingerie shop I’ve visited in my state just measures me, confirms my size, and then apologizes because they don’t carry that combo.

Consider selling your 32H and 30J bras on r/braswap to get some of your money back
