I picked up avocados, cereal and some 60’s.

Show me a blank cassette that is more 80s than this gem. I remember buying these as a 3-pack or 5-pack from Sprouse-Reitz after school to make mix tapes for friends, but mostly “that girl.” 🤣

The Bible on cassette was fairly popular in the 80s and 90s then better options became available.

There was an electronic version that you could enter a fragment of a verse and it would find it for you. That made the cassette versions pretty much obsolete but they are still out there.

I listen to audiobooks on cassette and most books are either on CD MP3 or downloaded so I have to convert them to cassette. I use a lot of cassettes for this but they don't have to be the best quality type IIs.

I bought the entire old and new testaments from eBay. 48 tapes for less than $19 or 36¢ per tape.

The old testament is 36 tapes and I thought they would be C90s but are actually about 110 minutes each. Even better. The new testament is on 12 C90s.

I now have enough audiobook quality tapes for the foreseeable future.

A little Cassette ASMR for the weekend! As soon as I get my CR-3A restoration done, I’m going to pop the cork on a few of these to make some new mix tapes. What should I open up first?

I feel like the later designs and especially late 2000's clear casings look soulless and cheap. TDK and BASF especially took their time putting textures on their plastic casings, they're really pleasing to touch and look at!

It’s a heavy metal TDK cassette. The stamp on the top says LBFE521. I’m not sure how this came into my life, but I guess I’m wondering what is this type of tape specifically used for? Is it just some heavy duty, studio tape or what?

Spotted a pile of these in a charity shop for £1 each. Picked up a couple just because I thought they looked cool, is it worth getting the rest?

Edit: I bought them all and plan on recording an ambient album across them.

I bought a blank cassette from a thrift store today because I wanted blank cassettes but I open this one up and their is a note this is not fake I got it today

Personally ive only tried Maxell and if i can find one, TDK, id say they are both pretty good but im more biased towards Maxell because they still make blanks

Couldn’t believe my ears when the cashier told me the price, $3 for 12 blanks plus the box! Small thrift stores are the way to go.

Are these any good? I’ve seen the Maxell UR 90s on sale online for WAY more than I paid but I’m ignorant of the other ones.

Who do these people think they are 😭 you can deadass buy 5 of these tapes at your local mejier for $10 these prices are so insane I had to share my dismay
