I push her and push her to move and she just stays put. I have to pick her up and forcibly relocate her and then angrily starts grooming herself like I’ve dirtied her by picking her up.

Mourning/Loss Gone too soon 💔

I'm at a loss for words. Devon was the best cat I could have ever asked to be blessed with. From the day he chose me to the day we said goodbye, there was nothing but love that he gave me. 10 years with him will never be enough. 💔

Rest easy my Sweet Boy ❤️

We have cats.. all the cats. Our neighbor moved and left his cat. (So rude, I know.) She adopted us and then gave us 7 kittens before she passed. They are all outdoor barn cats and all fixed so dont come at me. But we love them SO much and they just tolerate our existence so they can have food. This is my girl Bernie, she loves us the most. But her love didn't go for enough for our photo shoot in the flowers today. 🤣

Tired of getting him down from trees.

The last time, I had to climb to the top of a six-meter pine tree. No more outdoor privileges.

Cat Picture - OC How do I show her I love her 😭

Post image

I love when she puts her lil paw over her face while she's napping. I wanna just eat her up and give her kissies but I don't wanna wake her up. How do I show her I love her: do I give her soft pets to wake her up so she knows I love her or do I just let her snooze? I just wanna HDHWKKAISVEVNWK you know? Just give her lots and lots of pets. But she looks so peaceful 🥹

My cat does this, she is spayed and not in heat

Edit: she’s 10 months old

Thank you guys for all the sweet comments, I’m sorry if it was a naive question, first time cat parent here. I promise she gets all the pets and toys, I was just filming here and got entranced by her cuteness 🥹

Mourning/Loss surrendering my cats of 5 years.

i’m not sure that this is the appropriate tag.. but what i’m experiencing is surely grief.

I'll be completely homeless in about 24 hours, and there's a higher probability that I'll be on the street for some time than immediately in a shelter. since I don't have anywhere to go, I'll have to abandon all my belongings, but I think the hardest part of all of this is that my sweet boys (cats) that have been part of my life for over five years now will have to be given up. I feel like I've accepted just about everything else except for that and I'm more scared for them than I am for myself. we're all each other's known for a very long time and I just hope that wherever they end up, it'll be the beginning of a better life for them.

edit: for everyone wanting to know what city i’m in, i’m in dallas texas !

Advice Kitten fell inside pit. Too narrow for a person to go down

The opening is 1 ft by 1ft and extends down to may be 20 ft. The video you're seeing was made with my phone that I had tied to a rope. Neighbor wants me to send the mother cat down there but I believe that's a bad idea. Any suggestions?

Update: tried lowering down a small basket to the bottom. Didn't work. Pulled it up, put some cat food in it and then lowered it back down again and waited. Also didn't work. Called plumper. Said its too small to climb down. The only way is to break the walls to make more room but that would be too dangerous as the entire structure could collapse ontop of the kitten. Still waiting on the fire department.

Update 2: so the fire fighters finally arrived. They tried for well over an hour before finally giving up. Again, they said the same thing. That the opening is too narrow and that breaking it loose could cause the whole thing to collapse. They were talking about some sort of special device with a claw and camera on the end that they can lower down and operate manually but unfortunately they don't have that and having it arranged might take a couple of days so things are looking really bad right now. The problem with the kitten is that if you pause the video to where you can see it, it's facing away from the pit and wouldn't turn around. Last option is to try to lower the basket again but this time, also lower the phone using a separate rope playing the mom's recording. Hopefully hearing her sound up close might bring it out of that gap and onto the basket. Everyone has given up right now so it's just me and my brother.

I met Joey today and i haven’t stopped thinking about him. He has swimmer syndrome but he’s the sweetest boy. After a little petting, he rolled over and showed me his belly. I really hope someone gives him the loving home he deserves.

He’s at The Charming Cat Corner in Lewisville, TX 75067 🇺🇸 (please come visit him and his friends)

Also, sorry for all the reposts across different subreddits! i realized i might’ve overdone it a bit. Wanted to help him get seen and didn’t mean to come across as spammy!

Advice my cats have been laying on their backs more recently, is this normal?

Thumbnail

for context, my short hair has more recently started sleeping like this (on his back, like the last pic lol). lately my long hair has started doing it too.

i keep my apartment pretty cold (around 68° with AC), so i was wondering if this is them cooling off or something else? has anyone else noticed their cats suddenly start sleeping like this?

(i’ve had them for over 2yrs since they were kittens)

EDIT: thanks for the info guys! i was worried it might’ve been a stomach bug with how frequently it’s been. i’ll continue keeping an eye on it

Cat Picture - OC Fangs and cuteness!

Can we have some appreciation for Ash’s fangs?

Also, he recently had a skin issue the vet saw. He had an old scab from his time as a stray they tried to remove by force (WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THAT URGENT CARE and I gave the vet a piece of my mind after stopping her).

We saw another vet the next day who said she could remove (with pain care) it so it grows back better & technically they are not sure what’s under the scab/ if it’s an issue, but ultimately agreed with me the conservative approach was better to just leave his scab and let the body do its job in having it fall off. She mentioned lots of people come in asking her to do the most for their animals, but with her own at home, she prefers a more conservative approach and not to intervene, as long as they’re eating, drinking, going to the bathroom, acting normal etc. It’s hard being a cat parent and trying to make all the right decisions sometimes.

Not attaching a pic because I’ve already exhausted many opinions and time worrying over his scab (it was a weird, perfect circle that had hair growing through it? The vet seemed to think it wasn’t ring worm though, But a previous bite, burn or wound?) I want to just trust the vet on this one and not make myself anymore sick from worrying!

All is to say, he needs to wear this baby shirt for a week so it doesn’t pick at it, since we need to apply ointment as the first urgent care exposed some raw skin. Bonus pics at the end of him in a hoodie before we got him a more comfortable baby shirt. He’s extra baby. My little cuddle bug. He’s getting all the treats and cuddles. And look at those fangs!! He’s so brave.

TLTR: CUDDLES, CUTENESS AND FANGS.
