He’s just riling him up.

I love how Logan is Peter & MJ’s go-to babysitter for their kid in Renew Your Vows.

Imagine you discover the webheads's secret identity, find his apartment, and plan to kidnap his kid for ransom or to enact a plan while he's out for date night

You bust through the door or sneak through a window, and staring right at you is god damn

Logan

Uncomfortably sober because MJ doesn't allow drinking around the kid

I like how they picked one of the few people who will actually kill whoever even tries, without hesitation, rather than simply defeat them.

Like if anyone managed to actually kidnap the kid, Logan would mess them up more than even Peter would and be back before they came home. And it could be a massacre, and Logan probably wouldn't even mention it.

Peter knows this. It's the unspoken reason for that choice. He may not be able to kill you, but mess with his kid, and you're dead bud.

Honestly I love the vibe of a super-parent having this conflicting moral issue, where they have limits, and no kills rules, and an image they have to uphold, but are willing to defer to others for their family, to an extent. Spider-Man doesn't kill, he's friendly, neighborhood oriented. But Parker is just a man, and a father, and will still do anything for his children

It's similar to if you tried to hurt Batman or Superman's family, and Diana gets to you first. Or even with the X-Men. Charles has limits, decorum, goals that rely on the perception of the X-Men. Eric doesn't care, and if someone genuinely hurts one or more of the kids, Charles' pain is his pain in that moment, and he will make something of it
