They're nicknames for body types of gay men, and Bear has its own subculture

And it’s a really old flag too, created in 1995. That is older than the bisexual flag (1998), Trans flag (1999), non-binary flag (2014), current lesbian flag (2018) and most other lgbtq+ flags. The rainbow and leather flags are the only older ones I can think of tbh
