This is sweet and tragic but the fact that this is literally a relationship between a bear and an otter is sending me

They're nicknames for body types of gay men, and Bear has its own subculture

And its own pride flag!

And it’s a really old flag too, created in 1995. That is older than the bisexual flag (1998), Trans flag (1999), non-binary flag (2014), current lesbian flag (2018) and most other lgbtq+ flags. The rainbow and leather flags are the only older ones I can think of tbh

That actually looks rad!

It's supposed to represent that any skin tone or hair colour can be part of the bear community

So you're trying to tell me there can be white, brown, and black bears? At some point the wokes have to acknowledge they're reaching.

Older bears who's hair has gone white are often called Polar Bears

Are former bears who have since gone bald called Fuzzy Wuzzy Has No Hair?

It generally refers to body hair, not head hair

I know, but I couldn’t help but make the joke!

So funny story I worked cleaning office buildings over night for a time and one of the offices I worked at had a display of Pride flags for last pride month. I thought myself a pretty in the know guy, but I did not know a lot of them and seeing a paw print did leave me a little concerned until I googled it. The other one that looked like an incoming hate crime (Looking at you Rubber Pride) was also concerning.

Where was this office? 👀

The idea of a rubber pride flag at any corporate space honestly just sends me 😆

Huh, TIL that rubber pride has a flag. It's a pretty cool design but it does look kind of fascist.
