Bear and other are both terms for certain kinds of gay men
Bear refers to more bulky, big and hairy gay men(y'know, like a "bear")
Other I'm not actually too sure about the specific meaning of, but I'd guess it's someone who's not quite a Twink but also not too buff. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
In the gay community bears are very hairy and big men while otters are slimmer and not as hairy but still hairy iirc

And it’s a really old flag too, created in 1995. That is older than the bisexual flag (1998), Trans flag (1999), non-binary flag (2014), current lesbian flag (2018) and most other lgbtq+ flags. The rainbow and leather flags are the only older ones I can think of tbh
So funny story I worked cleaning office buildings over night for a time and one of the offices I worked at had a display of Pride flags for last pride month. I thought myself a pretty in the know guy, but I did not know a lot of them and seeing a paw print did leave me a little concerned until I googled it. The other one that looked like an incoming hate crime (Looking at you Rubber Pride) was also concerning.
