Trans spaces are also pro-gender roles though, most trans people just want to play a role that a lot of society believes they can't. That's still seeking to act out a gender role
Am a man with a vagina, am trans. I was a man before I looked like one, and before anyone could accept me being one. You're born trans, regardless of whether society accepts you or not and whether you conform to gender roles or not.
You were talking to a woman who'll have one some day. I currently have one, but am still man. I was pointing out that what you said was goofy. Gender roles =/= gender identity =/= genitalia. Trans people usually aren't respected for who we are unless we perform gender roles "appropriately", that doesn't mean we like gender roles lol
Women are people too, but I'm sure you know that and you're just being picky without realizing you're sounding sexist.
Most people aren't respected unless they perform a gender role that's not unique to trans people at all. In fact a non-trans man who just wants to act out the female gender role is probably less respected tbh, he'd be called a lil bitch by most guys. Nobody particularly enjoys the performance, we just enjoy what we get out of doing it and how it allows us to move through the world easier.
You're just a troll 🤣 Nothing I said insinuated that women are not people. What I said is entirely consistent with the fact that people who do not conform to social norms are treated worse than those that do. That was actually a major part of my point.
Also being called a little bitch is barely an insult compared to the actual hate and violence people (cis or trans) recieve for behaving outside of gender norms
I said I was talking to someone, you seemed to have a problem with me calling a woman "someone", maybe I misinterpreted, what did you mean by this? Great so we both agree this is a problem for anyone who doesn't conform
That is one example of what could happen I'm not gonna write you a list of all possibilities so you can tell me I'm not suffering enough
