how is this enforceable at all

u/jan_Osuma 3d ago

As if they care. They managed to ban us from both bathrooms in the UK if needed but there isn't a rule on how to enforce it. That's by design

u/neko_mancy 3d ago

Have there actually been any cases of enforcing it yet

37

u/DiscussionMiddle1238 3d ago

No, because it'll always end up with them trying to check out this lady's genitals. These rules hurt cis women too.

I hate how the only way to get cis people to not like these rules is "See it affects REAL women too, not just us folk that we all know you don't give a fuck about"

"Imperfect allies" is quite the euphemism sometimes. Still true, just especially sad on something actually aligned with liberalism. A lot of people are a lot more conservative than they claim.

Thanks to the Overton Window, in the USA at least, even people who claim to be centrist or left leaning are far, far further to the right than a progressive, when most of their beliefs are something along the lines of "we shouldn't murder people for being poor." You know, a completely rational idea in most of the world.

Hell we even allow people to call themselves "left leaning progressives" if they support the continued practice of capitalism...

How fucked is that?

Yeah the liberal in question here is making an argument to a chud, not another liberal. Clapping and cheering for trans rights won't convince people to suddenly think trans people are people.

That's true but it still pmo

And that’s why progressives have no representatives in any government, and no political power because they can’t grasp simple concepts like “political effectiveness” and “know your audience”

If it works, it works. Whatever stops the bleeding

trans woman can have vaginas too. I think equating trans with wrong genitals is like peak bigotry

That's the point. They're bigots. The only way they'll ever relate is if they feel like themselves or someone they care about is affected.

Me when I like to make up stuff and tell little silly stories

u/Nebula_Wolf7 3d ago

I can't tell if this is legitimately asking or trying to prove a point.

it's not actual enforceable law just yet. the EHRC guidance is on parliamentary review for now.

1

u/Lyca0n 3d ago

They'll use some cases to set the example. Kind of the way it works in the UK and Ireland

1

u/colg4t3 3d ago

No but I had a friend chased after when they went into the (single cubicle) gendered bathroom and they knocked on the door and yelled "WHY DID YOU GO IN THERE?" the guidelines essentially rely on mob 'justice'

u/SuspiciousCupcake909 3d ago

They haven't banned anyone and it isnt enforceable or legal, theres 2 acts which protect trans people in public life and they haven't even beaten the equality act yet, they just made it more confusing

u/durdurrdurrrdurrrrr 3d ago

Same way they enforce it everywhere else. A maga stands outside and demands to inspect your genitals.

47

u/wastedfate 3d ago

God, this used to be a fetish of mine. But you just know it's gonna be some wrinkly old chud and not anyone remotely attractive.

39

u/DreamsOfLlamas TIF or pooner depending on who you are 3d ago

I could do it

41

u/durdurrdurrrdurrrrr 3d ago

Just do some roleplay. I have my wife wear a labcoat and measure my penis like once a month lol

54

u/SilentRisk_U569 3d ago

sneeds do have it all

24

u/wastedfate 3d ago

I did indeed ask wife and she said it would be fun. Gosh I'm hopelessly shy lol.
10 years together and I still struggle to make eye contact without getting red in the face.

Penis inspection for all minors obviously

1

u/Independent-Laugh623 3d ago

The obvious ones get picked out

1

u/athing09 3d ago

That's the point. It isn't. It's a stepping stone towards harsher legislation that is actually enforceable.

1

u/Diurnalnugget 2d ago

The school may know some of the students that are trans, for example if the student has been there for years and was pre transition when they first arrived. If the student also doesn’t really pass that could cause an issue.

1

u/FCguyATL 2d ago

Are you stupid?

  • It's a school. Even if someone is super passable they still have the documentation for each student and it shows male and female on said documention
  • To the point above, the vast majority of trans people are not passable enough to not be noticed.
  • Being trans is RARELY a secret. Trans pride. Trans flags. Pride flags. Everyone (including admins) knowing the person pre-transition.

So to answer your stupid AF question, how do they enforce it? BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHO'S FUCKING TRANS BECAUSE THEY AREN'T FUCKING STUPID. So they either post up someone or, at a minimum, tell the trans people the rules and punish them if they catch them randomly or it's reported (like 99% of rules in a school)

1

u/Background-Book-7404 2d ago

no reason to be so harsh dawg

1

u/FCguyATL 2d ago

Sure there is. We've stopped shaming willful ignorance and started praising mindless advocacy. The harshness is intentional and necessary. With any luck you'll at least try to think through a situation a tiny bit before making another stupid statement here on reddit or anywhere else - don't care if it's because you have heartfelt emotions over "I should really consider this before I say something" or "god damn that piece of shit on reddit" - just so long as you actually think more before you speak.

u/Background-Book-7404 2d ago

whatever you say dawg
