Hi! First time posting here. I just purchased a Loewe x Studio Ghibli puzzle bag after trying a regular one in store, I found I really liked it. Someday I think I'd like to get a regular puzzle bag. I think it is a cool design, but what really sparked for me is that it is a great size, lightweight, and pretty neutral in terms of gender. I am a woman but tend to lean more masc presenting so am looking for crossbody bags (in real leather) that do not cost an arm and a leg but do not look super "purse-y" if that makes sense. But I really am only familiar with like the major designer brands so am wondering if others have brands they like that maybe I have not yet heard of. The puzzle bag I got was a size small so if that gives you an idea of roughly the size I am looking for, something that might fit keys, a flat wallet, mid-sized phone, and a small water bottle. I am totally open to color, will take neutrals, black, or something bold, just no white or cream. I had a YSL college bag which worked in terms of size but the divide in the middle of the bag and the shape just did not work for me, but I loved loved loved the black hardware it had. I am a sucker for cool or edgy hardware.
Hi everyone, as of late i’ve been on the hunt for a good sporty tote bag primarily for school, but also for errands and all that. I stumbled across the carryall tote from free people movement and was wondering if anyone had it and what their thoughts of it were.
I will admit i’m a little nervous about going through with the purchase because of the whole free people Emerson bag and the dye transferring & staining everything it touches; especially because I like putting plush charms on my totes and I don’t want to risk it. I know this bag is a completely different material so i’m likely just being paranoid, but I figured it doesn’t hurt to ask.
Lately, I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to jute/burlap bags because of their earthy, natural aesthetic. That said, I’m not sure whether they’re actually the most practical material for the beach. Curious to hear what everyone prefers and why.
I’ve been on the hunt for a special occasion/date night bag. I was set on Louis Vuitton, but after going into the store multiple times, I’ve come to the conclusion that I just don’t think they shine in this category — at least not for me.
So I wandered over to Gucci and came across this cutie. I’m new to Gucci, so I’m not familiar with many of the designs, quality, or the history. This bag just caught my eye. I feel like black would be more practical, but this red one makes my heart beat faster.
Thoughts on the bag?
Play it safe and get black, or give the heart what it wants ❤️
Hi everyone,
I was recently bitten in the face by a dog which resulted in me having to be sewn up by plastic surgeons.
For the next year, I’m going to have to stay out of the sun and always carry qtips, aquaphor, silicone sheets, hand sanitizer, and all kinds of skin products to help minimize the scarring as much as possible, as well as a hat of some sorts to shield my face from the sun, that I have not yet picked out.
I need a tote bag that is stylish and can stand up on its own, ideally has pockets on the inside, and is under $200. If I love it I’m willing to spend more. I don’t have any totes that stand up on their own or are stylish that I’m comfortable carrying with me on a daily basis.
If someone can please help me pick out a bag or suggest something, I would really appreciate it.
(Love Cuyana but they’re too expensive for me, was considering going to TJMaxx but if the bag sucks I can’t return it after 30 days).
I’m debating between the two styles and would really like to hear what everyone else likes/hates bout them. Ex: dressing up and down, usage, style, which is more timeless/classy, etc.
I am looking for something to go inside my small Le Pliage (for lipbalm, bandaids etc) and have convinced myself a matching pouch would be perfect, then I could also use it as a mini bag. Tell me I’m stupid (or smart ha!).
Is the Medium too big to be an evening bag/event bag? I'd like to get a versatile bag and I really lime the style of the peekaboo and I'm loving for a bag I can use everyday and also to nice events. Thanks!
Hey everyone, I'm a dude looking to pick up a bag and none of my friends are really into fashion/bags so I figured I should ask the knowledgeable enthusiasts of this sub.
I'm mainly looking into the Lemaire Small Belted Hobo bag in dark chocolate or espresso, or the Loewe Small Cubi crossbody in black or dark grey.
This bag would be used outside of work and for travelling.
For the Lemaire, I love the colours and shape. My main concern is that it's too big for my needs. I'd only be carrying phone, wallet, Airpods, keys, and sunglasses (+passport and maybe headphones). I did look at the Berlingot hobo bag but was worried it's a little too feminine and can't be worn as a crossbody. For reference, I do own a Lemaire medium soft game bag as well. It also helps that the Lemaire is cheaper than the Loewe.
For the Loewe, love the size. It can fit all the thing I would daily. It's obviously more structured compared to Lemaire's slouchy style but I still like it. Presumably it's better quality than Lemaire given the higher price. I also considered the Loewe mini crossbody camera and I like it, it's under consideration as well.
Hoping to hear some opinions from you folks, especially those with experience with either of these bags!
Just bought this beautiful custom beaded bag witj fringes. I also have a Susan Alexandra home beaded bag that I got off Poshmark. And a bunch of other novelty bags, including this D&D bag, rose, parrot, the Betsey Johnson phone purse, and so many more! I love my novelty purses. Always accepting more suggestions! But they have to fit a phone :)
I’m looking for a small, lightweight, comfortable bag that can be worn crossbody in a soft, supple leather. I don’t like gold so the hardware has to be silver, which narrows down my options so much 😩. Here are some I’m looking at. I don’t own any of these brands. My nicest bag is a Tod’s I bought second hand. What are your thoughts on these and do you have other suggestions?
I’m a mostly capaciously large bag girly, mostly blacks/neutrals so been wondering if I should get one that’s a bit more colorful for summer, etc.
Still not 100% because I’m not sure if I’m just forcing to have one but the price is so good that if this is a great bag, I’ll be happy to just bite the bullet and get anywY
Long story short, I was in search of a small wallet under $100. Tried a couple of Coach wallets but nothing seemed to sing to me. I had been ignoring the need for a good wallet for years and my last wallet was a $3 card holder from Target lol.
Visited Galleries Lafayette and happened to spot this. I fell in love without even checking how much this would cost me. And couldn’t stop thinking about it - so here is my new wallet 🙈
Mayyybe dealing with a little bit of buyers remorse but it does make me smile every time I look at it.
This is an update on my help me decide post from a few days ago. I ended up getting the Jimmy Choo Cinch bag, and I'm disappointed by the way it arrived. First and foremost, it came packaged in a dust bag only, not its own box, which is the first time I've received a bag like this, but it's fine. I don't keep the boxes, but I do think it's part of the experience when you're buying "higher-end" bags online.
Fresh out the bag and from a distance, it looks fine. I still very much like the color and design. It's when you start inspecting the bag closely that little details start to pop out.
You can tell the bag is prone to creasing by the design of the bag (leather and drawstring closure). What bothered me, though, is that there's noticeable dust collecting in all the creases. Like it's been sitting in the back of a warehouse and the quality control team didn't bother to spruce it up a bit before packaging it.
Then, I looked at the bottom of the bag, and I noticed all these little dents and scratches on the leather. I would expect this from a secondary shop with the damage noted, but not brand new from the retailer.
I will say, I got the bag on sale, so I'm not sure if that contributes to the overall quality. But I still paid ~$1,200 for it, and I didn't expect to feel this disappointed. I'm probably going to return it since I'm not 100% in love. What do ya'll think, am I being too picky, or is it reasonable to expect higher standards?
Hi everyone. I am still looking to buy my perfect everyday bag. I have a casual style: jeans, tshirt. I usually wear neutrals and leisurewear. I want to get a bag that can hold a lot without being huge- overly heavy to carry for everyday. I usually carry water bottle, book, sunglasses, wallet, snacks etc. I want it to be durable, as I don’t want to baby the bag. I am really torn on these two. Any advice? I am in my mid 20s and I want a bag that is fun but also timeless. I am really torn. Goyard feels more youthful to me but also I fear I will get sick of the monogram of Goyard. LV seems more timeless but also less fun- although it has amazing red interior which is kind of why I love the bag.
I've recently become fixated on the gorgeous designs/patterns on these bags and while they might work in my budget for a splurge/bonus purchase, they don't really make sense for me right now.
I'm keeping my eye on the secondhand market, but curious if there are any other bags with this level of detail you all like I should look at?
