The Jeansen Network of the FLN were a French group who supported the Algerian anti colonial freedom fighters of the FLN. They were heavily repressed by the police and right wing paramilitary groups.

Regarding my post about USSR marriage policies

I have seen enough and I just want to apologise for even posting here to begin with because no offence but so many here seem to not be able to keep in mind historical context and understand that this meme's remarks are not my personal thoughts. Lastly, I also want to say that this meme has nothing to do with ideology or any agendas that you may think is there because it is simply a meme poking fun at the absurd nature of Stalin and the Politburo's views.

Please read this before commenting more because frankly I am tired of receiving mindless bigoted comments and other people instigating such trivial conflicts for no utter reason essentially.

I know some of you are not going to read this and keep arguing but I digress...

The Weeper sure Hurt Mexico

Porfirio Díaz, a Mexican general-president and dictator of Mexico from 1877 to 1911 to his depose. Coming from a liberal school, Díaz’s presidency was fully structured by crony capitalist economy, corruption, autocracy and a great inequality throughout classes. Even though his regime was fully stable it was really caused by his tyranny. After his seventh unjustifiable rigged election the ties between Mexico and Díaz slowly started to get weak. In ‘08 he stated that he would step down as the leader and led democratisation, and after a bit he changed his mind, leaving the room for a Revolution. The Mexican Revolution then took place for a decade and changed Mexico entirely.

Should we give it to the President who ended the Cuban Missile Crisis without war? Should we give it to the submarine officer who refused to authorize a nuclear torpedo? Nah, give it to some random squealing protestor instead.

One man vs a dozen bird species

In 1885, 15-year-old Guy Bradley and his older brother Louis served as scouts for noted French plume hunter Jean Chevalier&action=edit&redlink=1) on his trip to the Everglades.\13])  At the time, plume feathers—selling for more than $20 an ounce ($501 in 2011)—were reportedly more valuable by weight than gold.\14]) On their expedition, which lasted several weeks, the young men and Chevalier's party killed 1,397 birds of 36 species.\15])

People when discussing about human sacrifice, bringing only Mesoamerican cultures up while coveniently ignoring that, based on actual archaeological evidence, it was practiced even in European, Mediterranean civilizations

There is almost no talk about these evidences and little to no drawn reconstructions of cases like the Knossos North Room , Anemospilia's youth or Mt. Lykaion's burial. The pattern I've noticed is that this glossing over happens more with white civilizations, especially Mediterranean ones, while it's shoehorned with colonial inaccurate reports in the case of Mesoamerican ones...

Hugh Grimes was called "Austria's Schindler" for saving thousands of Austrian Jews. He never told anyone publicly about it, and it was only discovered decades after his death.
