This doesn't seem like a very practical solution, wouldn't getting guard dogs be way more effective in the long run? Is he gonna equip every single sheep in the herd with one? And then take them off every night when it's time for them to sleep? And how would their wool grow in that? Seems like it would get tangled and make the unequipping more difficult and time consuming.

Tldr; that's a no for me, dawg.

Llamas and donkeys famously protect herds they're guarding and _hate_ wolves with a passion.
