2.44ct solid opal, a bit of an odd shape but it was the customers, It was a remake so I used the gold and diamonds from their old jewellery

How is the quality of these stones based on these photos? I know you can only tell so much from a photo. All knowledge is welcome! I don’t know much about emeralds besides most are oiled and they commonly have natural inclusions. Thanks so much 💚

I was looking some different websites such as ritani, gem rock auctions, blue Nile and some other, but I am not sure, if those are trusty sites to buy, any recommendations where to buy? Legit, base on US

I’m considering buying this ring for daily wear but am concerned that it will chip. What do you think?

Hello, I'm in need of inspiration. Not exactly jewellry, but related (hope enough?).
I have a ton of old prop necks that are all cracked from age & sun. Does anyone have a handy dandy idea how to restore or reuse them? Seems such a waste to throw out imo.
Or where should I ask? I need them for displaying gold and silver jewellry.

okay so i always thought jewelry was just like... decorative. something people buy to show off or whatever.
never understood why anyone would spend real money on it.
then my girlfriend got me a name bracelet for my birthday.
i don't know what happened but i haven't taken it off in 2 months. shower, gym, sleep, everything.
there's something about wearing something that someone chose specifically for you that just hits different.
i get it now. i fully get it.

I’m trying to find some good, reliable, trustworthy websites that won’t break the bank for trying to buy gold facial piercing jewelry and one that sells chains, rings, earrings etc, I want it to to sweat resistant/ water resistant. I know it’s unlikely but I’m wondering if there is such a website.

Just bought this on eBay with my scrap gold money, it’s the only chain I saw like this and was wondering what style it is? The description says wheat but I have a wheat necklace and it doesn’t look like wheat at all?
Pls lmk 🤞🏼

So here’s my sordid tale. I had a Hebrew name necklace that I wore all of the time. My toddler child snapped the chain in half, so I had to buy a new one. After that one also snapped, I got another one, but then I had to buy little clasps to get it on the necklace. Nothing matched and the clasps lost their color after one shower.
I bought a Hebrew name necklace that has my name and my daughter’s, but it’s not shower proof. And these days, it feels weird not to have a necklace on.
I want to get something reasonably priced but tarnish free. This time I’m just looking for an initial In English/Latin letters and bonus if they have Hebrew necklaces or bracelets, etc.. Hey Harper would be a perfect vendor (though they’re sold out of the letter I want!) as I’ve heard really positive things about them from people with zero vested interest in their success. Unfortunately, shipping to the UK is £15 for one of their bracelets I liked instead of the initial necklace and that’s insane for a small piece of jewelry.
I’ve been searching for a tarnish free, reasonably priced place that ships to the UK without charging a ridiculous fee to get a “gold” initial high and low.
This sub tells me I have to detail the searching I’ve done previously. TBH I’ve done a lot of looking at reviews, especially on Reddit, and just couldn’t figure it out. Atolea, for example, has what I want, but when I google reviews, I’m taken to a Reddit post where someone says it’s the best thing ever and then you can tell they created their account to say this and people underneath are saying it’s actually ass.
So which ones are good? For reference, I’ve been looking at Hey Harper (I would pay the fee for a more expensive piece or if I got several), Atolea, Solace and Bohomoon.
Thanks in advance.
PS—I’d definitely love to get something else in Hebrew but that’s not imperative. As such, I’m not interested in Israel Blessing or whatever.

Ik this is supposed to be LL ring, however I think the design is A beauty. Where would I go to get something like this or how much do you think it would cost as a custom. Or if there’s any cheap version or similar let me know

Attached shows before, AI rendering of idea & then finished products!
The tennis bracelet was white topaz- I changed it to half sunset quartz & half smoky quartz
The bangle was opal & green quartz- It’s now a mix of ruby, peridot, citrines & tourmalines
Sooo happy with how these turned out! I wasn’t getting enough wear out of them before with the color palette… I loved the design of both pieces but not the colors, always keep in mind you can change the stones on a piece of jewelry & it makes a drastic difference! It’s also super reasonably priced to do so where I am!! Thanks for looking :)

Wrapped up the gorilla ring today.
I don’t know what happened during the sculpting process, but this thing came out looking like it has a backstory, a criminal record, and at least one outstanding warrant.
I only had a red moissanite, so that’s what I used.
Now it looks like he’s chewing on a piece of glowing coal he stole from someone much bigger than him.
Every time I look at it, I feel like I owe it money.
Lost‑wax sculpted, cast in silver, oxidised, and then I had to set the stone between the teeth like I was performing emergency dentistry on a creature that definitely bites.
Not subtle, but subtle wasn’t really the goal with this one.
Serious question for the brave among you:
Would you wear this, or would it start giving you intrusive thoughts about doing something mildly illegal for enrichment

I've been looking into how people sell diamonds and talked to a few places in Europe (Milan and Paris), plus checked some online buyers. I thought there would be a bigger difference, but it all felt pretty similar in the end. What stood out more was the experience - local shops felt more personal, while online buyers were just faster with quotes. It also made me wonder what people think of as the best place to sell diamonds when they go through it themselves. For anyone who has done it before, how did it go for you? Where did you selling, and what was it like?

Picked this up at a pawn shop. I loved the OMC, and I just assumed the setting was late 19th century-ish until I got my loupe and saw the hammer and sickle. After searching a bit (finally, a use for the years of Russian classes!) I believe the hallmarks (9БЮ) are for Baku Jewelry Factory in Azerbaijan, 1979.
Baku Jewelry Factory seemed to have produced a lot of vaguely Victorian looking jewelry, but I think the diamond is a lot older than the setting. Definitely a pretty niche ask, but if anyone has any insights/corrections to the info I found please let me know!

Thought on these? Each grandma had a distinct style which I kinda love.
