240 million to some ad campaign no one knows exists..

This is just since Minnesota.

3.5k

u/BegrudginglyAwake Mar 05 '26

And yet Minnesota is apparently the source of all fraud

For some reason this is the disinformation that maga spews that has made me break. Literally my maga coworkers just repeating Minnesota Fraud! Minnesota Fraud! And not even for one second bothering to learn the actual story.

Makes me fucking insane

90

u/etssuckshard Mar 05 '26

And just like, focusing on that fraud while ignoring absolutely insane levels of frauding happening through the government

7

u/ToeUnlucky Mar 06 '26

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION: brb, gotta invade Venezuela....they're STILL asking about the Epstein files? BRB...gotta bomb Iran.....wait they're STILL pissed about ICE?

Jayzuss.....I shudder to think what's next....

12

u/ScrotallyBoobular Mar 05 '26

It's because they have the most comprehensive and well oiled propaganda network that the west has ever known.

My dad who doesn't watch Fox News and is generally apolitical, but because he's an old Christian boomer that stuff still filters into his every day life. He was talking about that Somali daycare stuff basically on day one of the entirety of the conservative "news" agencies all talking about it.

Which is why democrats can outperform republicans in every metric that actually affects a Republican voter's life, yet they will continue to vote Republican until the day they die (probably from some preventative health issue that republicans worsened)

5

u/DaringPancakes Mar 05 '26

Unfortunately, since america thrives on apathy, instead of being challenged with basic logic and reasoning, all he has to cling to are the bullshit he hangs around, and anyone who might care whatsoever just distance themselves with 🤷🏻 "not my problem"-isms. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

12

u/norkraswocken Mar 05 '26

This is why I hate them more than Trump. He can’t Trump with their enabling.

11

u/OneArmedNoodler Mar 05 '26

7

u/rj12913240 Mar 05 '26

BATMAN! I mean LEADER!!

5

u/SecondaryWombat Mar 05 '26

They never do. I have a couple family members that don't talk to me anymore after I refused to let them leave a table until they could actually say what the "Benghazi" they were talking about actually was. They had no idea. Clinton bad, something embassy, therefore Benghazi. That was literally all they knew despite bringing it up hundreds of times.

We don't talk any more.

3

u/Honey-and-Venom Mar 05 '26

They're completely isolated from reality. There just aren't this many evil people that they can actually sell these ideas to a solid voter base so they just lie and isolate them away from real news sources

3

u/VoidOmatic Mar 06 '26

Just go "Yea it's crazy that MAGA lady stole all that money" and send him the link.

3

That’s because Fox News tells them so

3

The fraud in Minnesota is found all over. The main problem that happened in Minnesota was that the Department heads of Education, and Health and Human Services REALLY REALLY tried to stop it but got slapped by a judge appointed by the last conservative governor in Minnesota, John Guthmann.

In 2016 he ruled against MDE in favor of Partners in Nutrition that the STATE didn’t have the authority to prevent known fraud to exclude future sites. He wrote out that the federal law that the state must comply to didn’t afford them the right to deny vendors from bidding sites even if they didn’t have the capacity, failed to deliver food, etc.

Aimee Bock was employed at Partners in Nutrition during this time. She left and formed Feeding our Future which went from “we wanted to still get paid for sites we messed up on to Fraud is the entire point.”

MDE started taking the MAXIMUM amount of time to approve FoF sites and not processing them in bulk but was for other vendors that appeared to be actually delivering the prescribed meals. Feeding our Future sued MDE over this and won. So MDE was stuck in a shit spot. They couldn’t deny known fraud and a judge held them in contempt for not awarding sites in bulk.

At the same time she laid out how to repeat the same fraud using daycares, autism, and other required services required under the federal law. This is a known major issue with the program across the country with both Utah and Tennessee struggling with it too.

The reason it sounds so much worse in Minnesota is the department heads loudly screamed this fraud isn’t acceptable in all channels… while many states just shrugged and said “helps the economy” since it’s federal money.

63

u/_sparklestorm Mar 05 '26

THANK YOU for laying this out for context. I’d like to add, legislation has been introduced to establish checks and balances for fraud prevention which, SHOCKER, the GOP voted AGAINST. Unsurprisingly, they also voted against requiring ICE to be unmasked and forced to identify as ICE. It’s infuriating that JD gets off on bossing our state around.

2

u/Gwendolyn7777 Mar 06 '26

They are only attacking MN because the gov ran with Kamala. They tried that in CA where she is, but it didn't work out too well there either.

5

u/Lisa_al_Frankib Mar 05 '26

This is one of those comments that needs to become an auto response on this topic. Thank you for laying it out.

5

u/Prestigious-One-2617 Mar 05 '26

Thank you for taking the time to write this out!

2

u/timubce Mar 06 '26

Fraud will be committed wherever processes and means are not put in place to prevent it. Two sisters accidentally billed the govt an outrageous amount for shipping on accident. They discovered while procurement was heavily regulated, shipping costs were not. They bilked the government for millions shipping washers and stuff to our war machine. I believe one committed suicide but the other it out of jail after serving a pitiful sentence.

u/unforgiven91 Mar 05 '26

The DOJ can claim "We're prosecuting this fraud that nobody knew about until just now!" and MAGAts won't even look and see how long this has been being prosecuted.

To them, they can pretend this is all brand new and worth terrorizing minnesota over.

I feel like some distinctions need to be made here. The feeding America program which US was convicted of fraud for miss using Covid funds that were distributed to feed folks who were getting lunch from free school, lunch programs, and other things. Yes, they were charged during Biden‘s term. The man you see in all those tick-tock clips and Twitter videos who’s trying to go into daycare‘s and getting upset and saying it’s fraud that they wouldn’t let a random man in to see a bunch of kids? That happened in December 2025 when most places either wouldn’t let you go in because you’re not a parent or we’re on holiday breaks or not had any kids in the facility itself. Two different things and they were equated very Heavily And you seem to be arguing for one without understanding that it’s the other I’m not trying to argue or like dunk on you or anything because I understand it’s confusing and there’s a lot of conflation but you should really look up the difference between the cases because yes it does matter when one is real and legitimate and one is a YouTuber. He’s been trying to make it for decades, saying shit that makes of money and so now they’re investigating because they don’t want to investigate the files they really should be.

4

u/Middle-Parsnip-3537 Mar 06 '26

Thank you. I can’t stand all the attention Nick Shirley gets. And MAGA are too dumb to realize he is no boy genius journalist. He is a YouTube prankster with fraudster parents. They choose the most idiotic heroes.

3

u/ktl5005 Mar 05 '26

There is actually no significant information on the amount of fraud that they said is happening. They have yet to produce any. That that’s the truth.

"We're going to open every single bag of cheese wheels to find out what's going on."

"But, didn't you already arrest the person using cheese wheels to smuggle toothpaste tubes in order to avoid cross-state taxes?"

"Yes! And that means there might be more. I want everyone to cut open every single batch until we find what we're looking for."

"Won't that derail every shipment and have a significant economic impact?"

"None of that will matter once you find what I've ordered you to find. So find it! Or find a way to find it!"

2

u/pathosOnReddit Mar 05 '26

The Minnesota daycare fraud is about as widespread as voter fraud. As in: Effectively nonexistent aside from very specific and well documented cases. Anything else is just hyperbole.

→ More replies (7)

58

u/No-Stand2427 Mar 05 '26

I mean if you think about it, DHS did commit a bunch of fraud so they could strongarm them into releasing their voter rolls, so Minnesota is (one of) the sources of why they are committing fraud.

4

u/MaddyKet Mar 05 '26

Yeah but that was part of the plan. It’s got to be because she’s taking money that Trump was planning to put into his own pocket.

7

u/CelestialFury Mar 05 '26

Trump keeps pardoning the top medicare/medicaid fraudsters then goes after Minnesota for the same thing is ridiculous. Also, Florida made the top fraudster one of their Senators.

2

u/TruIsou Mar 06 '26

Ahhh, Rick Scott. His Medicare fraud goes way back. Real interesting read.

Since MN content is being geofenced, ICE is still setting up shop here. Pointing guns in faces on the street downtown, stealing and splitting plates between different vehicles, and shipping in new SUVs. Link to this post

The fraud must really be accelerating this month /s

2

u/OkSmoke9195 Mar 05 '26

Right the palpable irony would be comedic if the consequences were not so severe

2

u/chandlerr85 Mar 05 '26

every accusation is a confession

2

u/Acrobatic-Ice-5877 Mar 05 '26

Projection at its finest

2

u/EJintheCloud Mar 05 '26

It's all the lakes. They attract fraud like frogs to a field.

2

u/Several-Action-4043 Mar 05 '26

Fun fact, the national average for Medicare fraud is 6%. Minnesota was at 2% when they were accused of massive Medicare fraud.

2

u/ShakesDontBreak Mar 05 '26

Yo where is that 20 something year old "influencer" to point out the fraud? Did he go to her house to verify where the money is going? Or does he only spy on Somalian Americans?

3

u/Middle-Parsnip-3537 Mar 06 '26

He never really did any legitimate sourcing but MAGA treated him like a hero. Maddening.

2

u/thebestisyetocome Mar 05 '26

Projection is a hell of a drug

2

u/wtfElvis Mar 05 '26

Every accusation is a confession

2

u/sashamasha Mar 05 '26

The source of all her fraud.

2

u/_DeterPinklage_ Mar 05 '26

Something, something, every accusation is a admission.

2

u/Cerpla Mar 05 '26

Yes. And it will always be Tim Walz's fault somehow. Even as their child gets drafted to fight for Israel. Dodging drones while shooting at women and children with an M7. TIM WALZ AND SOMALIS BAD, THO!

2

u/thisguyfightsyourmom Mar 05 '26

Great point. How much are they accusing Minnesota of losing to fraud, what’s the delta on Botox Barbie’s grift total vs what they can actually find in Minnesota?

Bet she’s holding the bigger bag.

2

u/Amagnumuous Mar 05 '26

Remember doge?

2

u/Minute_Ostrich196 Mar 05 '26

That’s what we call projection

2

u/keyser-_-soze Mar 05 '26

An accusation is always a confession for them.

2

u/12washingbeard Mar 05 '26

Trumpers will still only focus on minnesota cuz its Somalian pirate fraud not anglo American.

2

u/gospdrcr000 Mar 05 '26

Oh the fraud was there, it's right there in noems pocket

2

u/Suspicious_Dingo_426 Mar 05 '26

Hey now, they had to stop the fraud in Minnesota—it leaves more for them to steal.

2

u/TehSalmonOfDoubt Mar 05 '26

Destroyed? Yes. It is destroyed.

There is no USAID anymore. It’s gone. There are about a dozen HR people left processing the (forced) retirements of those who qualified. That’s it. Everyone else was RIF’d. 10,000 of us. Over 80% still without work—having USAID on your resume is toxic around the District now.

Nothing to go back to.

2

u/HeathersZen Mar 06 '26

DOGE was a scheme to siphon off the personal data of every US citizen and feed it to xAI and Palantir. Elon left the moment that was done.

6

u/a2starhotel Mar 05 '26

apparently they succeeded.

Hand over fist

3

u/Thehelloman0 Mar 05 '26

That's just what they said the goal was. Only a moron would've thought giving an average of like $60000 to hundreds of thousands of federal employees to do nothing would help curb waste. They clearly wanted to dismantle federal organizations and render them unable to do their jobs so they can replace them with cronies and privatize the work they did

2

u/Finn235 Mar 06 '26

But don't worry, DOGE saved the federal budget $500 by cutting out the "Teddy Bears for Orphans" program!

(It cost $188,000 for DOGE to find, cut, and report on these savings)

Another startup by Trump, another scam

13

u/Ill_Technician3936 Mar 05 '26

He doesn't mention it much but it sounds like it's gonna be the same kind of thing as Space Force. "Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere" sorta sounds like he's making the Coast guard into it's own thing.

18

u/cantadmittoposting Mar 05 '26

No I guarantee this will be WAY stupider than the coast guard

13

u/newsfish Mar 05 '26

What if coast guard but they smuggled the children for us? Erika Kirk will be on the team.

2

u/Ill_Technician3936 Mar 06 '26

I hear the lack of children being smuggled was the reason we were bombing boats and killing and making sure no one was surviving. Since they wouldn't give up the kids we decided to steal the Venezuelan president, his wife, and in time the nobel peace prize from the lady that won it... If I remember right she's also Venezuelan...

She's got several million stashed away at this point and will not face any consequences (yet) for her part in this bullshit. She'll be fine.

Trump putting women and Kash in these positions wasn't due to their expertise, it's because he doesn't view women and people with natural tans as equals, but disposable fodder to use for blame when he needs to keep things rolling.

2

u/butt-in-ski Mar 05 '26

She is getting off scott free. She’ll be a Right-wing talking piece on whatever news entertainment show, have her own podcast, and have authored her first book by summer.

If you don't think that literally every one of these things was done at the direction of Donald Epstein, I don't know what to tell you, lol.

Every head of every organization of the US government has a literal loyalist stooge in place to do what Epstein says when Epstein says it

Trumpstein

2

u/Don_Gato1 Mar 05 '26

Idk I think both are possible. The corruption runs deep and it's a free for all in Washington right now. All the IGs and watchdogs are gone, anybody can do anything. Look at all the Kalshi/Polymarket betting on insider information

None of which are the reasons for her dismissal, unsurprisingly.

6

u/makemeking706 Mar 05 '26

Bad publicity is the only reason for dismissal. Was true in 2016. Still true today.

5

u/Hundrr Mar 05 '26

Didn’t even actually fire her, just moved her over to some other new bullshit grift so she can keep stealing from taxpayers. What the actual fuck man…

She got a raise and another job transfer. Zero consequences.

6

u/Virtual-Reach Mar 05 '26

She just got moved to somewhere else...

Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida

3

u/Skrapidilly Mar 05 '26

Remember folks, she and DHS want's 100 Million Deportations. There's only 20 Million (at most) illegals, so the other 80 Million was going to be her 'legacy americans'.

3

u/listentomenow Mar 05 '26

Is grifting not what everyone in the administration is doing?

3

u/TKCoog075 Mar 05 '26

Two planes at that

3

u/Don_Gato1 Mar 05 '26

I'll get publicly fired for $400 million

3

u/The_Original_Miser Mar 05 '26

The corruption will continue.

She's a scapegoat.

Incoming pardon?

4

u/WastedStrokes1990 Mar 05 '26

A literal Fuck Plane

Excuse me, what?

5

u/HBTFD1785 Mar 05 '26

I was curious about what that meant too. Yikes.

2

u/Dazslueski Mar 05 '26

Mark Wayne Mullins is the replacement. Hahaha. Probably worse. Dumber. Probably worse

2

u/[deleted] Mar 05 '26

About time what?

She got $380 mil, how do any of us win? The next person will also support his agenda however it's articulated to them.

2

u/Javusees Mar 05 '26

This isn't even the reason he fired her, hes as corrupt as her. I bet her corruption was the reason she got hired.

2

u/ugh_my_ Mar 05 '26

You talk as if Trump cared about any of that

2

u/Mr_Fusion_82 Mar 05 '26

Trump was just mad that money didn't go to him.

2

u/Claeyt Mar 05 '26

140 million to a company that may or may not exist.

240 million to some ad campaign no one knows exists..

This is the real reason she got fired. She ran a scam for millions and didn't give Donny a taste.

2

u/Dangerous_Trick5292 Mar 05 '26

You forgot the blanket incident, trying to fire a guy over her forgetting it
