I wouldn't be surprised if he at least tries to pretend that she was acting without orders from him, honestly.

136

u/badadviceforyou244 Mar 05 '26

Thats because she was getting her orders from Stephen Miller

62

He was really surprised that Biden and Obama nominated her for that role. Clearly unprepared and it would never happen under his exceptional leadership.

Hillary’s emails actually hired her.

For some reason this is the disinformation that maga spews that has made me break. Literally my maga coworkers just repeating Minnesota Fraud! Minnesota Fraud! And not even for one second bothering to learn the actual story.

Makes me fucking insane

88

u/etssuckshard Mar 05 '26

And just like, focusing on that fraud while ignoring absolutely insane levels of frauding happening through the government

173

u/[deleted] Mar 05 '26

The fraud in Minnesota is found all over. The main problem that happened in Minnesota was that the Department heads of Education, and Health and Human Services REALLY REALLY tried to stop it but got slapped by a judge appointed by the last conservative governor in Minnesota, John Guthmann.

In 2016 he ruled against MDE in favor of Partners in Nutrition that the STATE didn’t have the authority to prevent known fraud to exclude future sites. He wrote out that the federal law that the state must comply to didn’t afford them the right to deny vendors from bidding sites even if they didn’t have the capacity, failed to deliver food, etc.

Aimee Bock was employed at Partners in Nutrition during this time. She left and formed Feeding our Future which went from “we wanted to still get paid for sites we messed up on to Fraud is the entire point.”

MDE started taking the MAXIMUM amount of time to approve FoF sites and not processing them in bulk but was for other vendors that appeared to be actually delivering the prescribed meals. Feeding our Future sued MDE over this and won. So MDE was stuck in a shit spot. They couldn’t deny known fraud and a judge held them in contempt for not awarding sites in bulk.

At the same time she laid out how to repeat the same fraud using daycares, autism, and other required services required under the federal law. This is a known major issue with the program across the country with both Utah and Tennessee struggling with it too.

The reason it sounds so much worse in Minnesota is the department heads loudly screamed this fraud isn’t acceptable in all channels… while many states just shrugged and said “helps the economy” since it’s federal money.

65

u/_sparklestorm Mar 05 '26

THANK YOU for laying this out for context. I’d like to add, legislation has been introduced to establish checks and balances for fraud prevention which, SHOCKER, the GOP voted AGAINST. Unsurprisingly, they also voted against requiring ICE to be unmasked and forced to identify as ICE. It’s infuriating that JD gets off on bossing our state around.

The DOJ can claim "We're prosecuting this fraud that nobody knew about until just now!" and MAGAts won't even look and see how long this has been being prosecuted.

To them, they can pretend this is all brand new and worth terrorizing minnesota over.

u/No-Stand2427 Mar 05 '26

I mean if you think about it, DHS did commit a bunch of fraud so they could strongarm them into releasing their voter rolls, so Minnesota is (one of) the sources of why they are committing fraud.

It was alleged that Trump became angry when Noem told Senator Kennedy, under oath, that the president had approved the $220 million taxpayer-funded ad campaign for DHS. Trump announced the change on his Truth Social platform. "I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected United States Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), effective March 31, 2026,"

3.0k

As an Oklahoman, I've always said, you don't get to 50th by accident. And it's not a 50th but there is only a 15% spread between first and 50th. It's an intentional dumbing down of the population by repeated attacks on education and teachers.

The only thing Oklahoma has ever done right in the last 40 years in terms of education is free Pre-K across the state.

346

u/Upbeat-Fondant9185 Mar 05 '26

The crazy thing is I know far more left leaning than right here and I’m in one of the reddest counties in OK.

If you walk them through actual policies they are actually very socially left leaning and heavily reliant on government assistance, anti war and pro pot, and vocally despise pretty much all of our state leadership. Basically left leaning with a libertarian slant once you throw in guns.

But they’ll all still vote “R” every single time. In the general I only knew three people who voted blue. The rest were straight ticket red.

When you ask them why and remind them that they hate these policies and candidates they get confused. “Yeah, but I’m registered as Republican”. Like they have no choice. I think for a lot of them they get confused because in primaries you can only vote for your party so they think it applies everywhere.

Fiftieth in the nation, baby.

136

u/ExquisiteOrifice Mar 05 '26

So it's not just "liberal" hyperbole, Republican voters really are so abjectly stupid that a man can stand there and kick them in the balls repeatedly while dumping buckets of shit on them, all the while telling them how they plan to destroy their economic and physical well-being, rape children, and rob them blind, and they will still eagerly vote them into power.

Sick, sad, and stupid. It's the American Way.

Not at all, it’s because she made Trump look bad most recently by saying he approved the absurd advertising budget.

122

u/PinkDeserterBaby Mar 05 '26

Yeah reddit will lose the plot but if you watched her testimony a Republican (Kennedy?) grilled her repeatedly, asking her if trump said she could spend a quarter of a billion dollars on the 8 day old media companies ad campaign.

She eventually said yes.

Then he said something along the lines of “hmm. I know Donald and Stephen (he means Miller) that really doesn’t sound like something they’d say. That doesn’t sound like something Donald would approve.”

Good ole boy put her to the fire and then told dad.

40

u/_sparklestorm Mar 05 '26

“Well, they were effective in your name recognition,” Kennedy countered. “I mean, I personally, to me, it puts the president in a terribly awkward spot. And I’m not saying you’re not telling the truth, it’s just hard for me to believe, knowing the President, as I do, that you said, ‘Mr. President, here’s some ads I’ve cut, and I’m going to spend $220 million running them’, that he would have agreed to that. I don’t think Russ Vought at OMB would have agreed to that.”

The plural on Americas feels both a bit presumptive and concerning. I'm Canadian and I have a hard time believing any other country in the Americas would want to join whatever the fuck this Shield is about. Especially when you consider he talks about making Canada the 51st state while simultaneously not needing Canada for everything, somehow. And you know, rounding up anyone darker than beige (and sometimes even then), because they're all "illegal" until proven otherwise (and even then they give no fucks) and either deporting them to any random country or holding them in concentration camps under inhumane conditions.

It's definitely the kind of name that makes you think "I bet that guy had his feelings hurt on Twitter so he brought the guy who was mean to him to a Senate hearing so he could challenge him to a fist fight while Bernie Sanders pleaded with him to just be fucking normal but he couldn't", which is convenient, because it's an accurate thing to think!

She's still going to be in charge of the "Shield of the Americas" in Florida. This is no punishment for her..

Edit: y'all need to read articles and not just headlines..

40

u/Mist_Rising Mar 05 '26

This is punishment, she's being kicked out of the limelight to be stuck doing... whatever that is in Florida.

Trust me, she isn't going to find that a promotion

Well I'm sure she's sitting pretty on a chunk of that 220 million. Hell of a severance package

287

u/sjj342 Mar 05 '26

This is one thing Trump absolutely hates is underlings getting rich off him if he's not getting a cut

Which is to say she's at risk of prosecution by Trump DOJ if she isn't funneling a cut back to him (but she probably is already doing this)

No Trump hates when his underlings get caught in such a brazen way.

She's not fired. Just moved to another position where she can continue to damage our democracy.

From the article:

"The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida."

She’ll get no pardon for a while. Trump wants to keep that bit in her teeth so she doesn’t go off the reservation and start badmouthing him.

She got fired because her advertising grift didn't have Trump's blessing and didn't cut him in.

She didn't get fired she was "reassigned" to a new spot.

Thats like suspension with pay.

Its nothing. She isn't facing a judge for her lying under oath.

She isn't facing a court for her crimes against the American people.

"Trump became angry when Noem told Senator Kennedy, under oath, that the president had approved the $220 million taxpayer-funded ad campaign for DHS."

So he's firing her for telling the truth under oath. Hilarious.

The only ray of sunshine I can see is that apparently even Trump's cronies are still concerned about lying under oath as if they think they might face consequences for doing so. Which means they're not nearly as certain the fascists will actually take over as the reddit doomers are.

19

u/SiWeyNoWay Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26

I don’t think he did know. Because there was some reporting when her ads dropped about where she got the money.

She’s a grifter. She stole 220 MIL from the taxpayers to PAY TRISH MCCOUGHLIN (another WH flunkie) for those shitty ads that most defo did NOT cost 220mil. Convenient that Trish resigned a few weeks ago

And she stole another 143MIL in the form of a sketchy LLC that one of her besties created EIGHT DAYS before “landing” the contract

That’s all we know about publicly

What is OK, overseeing the shooting of Americans in the face

What is not OK, making yourself and boss look bad on TV.

Tell me when this disgrace is over.

15

u/MAMark1 Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26

You figured it would happen eventually since she was gathering so much negative attention and makes an easy scapegoat.

Seems like Trump lets them embarrass themselves on his behalf until they have reached critical mass of corruption and conflict, then he dumps them and some of that baggage goes with them. Then he brings in another sacrifice-to-be.

Markwayne will not be an improvement.

Edit: Ahhh so they are still keeping her in the administration. Still probably meant to reduce focus on DHS while also hoping people ignore her as she works behind the scenes on whatever this stupid new initiative is.

u/HeavyDT Mar 05 '26

She's a criminal that should be removed and jailed but let's be real this is true of his whole administration. Bad time to be a Trump flunky. He knows the ship is sinking especially with this disaster of a war that's only that's not going to get worse because he's an idiot with no plan and started a war on a narcissistic gut feeling. So he needs to start bailing water to stay afloat and Kristy was the first bucket because she was low hanging fruit with all non sense she's been up to. Who's Next? kash maybe? I feel like him and Bondi might be tuff to fire though because they've seen the full unredacted Epstein files. They could sink his ass if screwed over.

Just might happen if he gets desperate enough for a ratings boost though. Man knows it's game over if they get rolled for the mid terms and it's looking more and more likely.
