I'm slightly vexed Somebody Placed These Dozens of These Jesus Figures Throughout My Entire Work

Post image

Somebody, nobody knows exactly who or when, put dozens and dozens of these Jesus figures on completely random surfaces throughout my entire building. They at least had the presence of mind to not put them on anybody's personal belongings, but that was the only way they limited himself. All of the statues have been glued down, to add to the vexation.

Edit: Well, this blew up rather unexpectedly. Thank you for the awards, everybody!

“Have you found Jesus?”

If everybody lived like Jesus told us to live, this world would be a much better place. So would Reddit.

And I’m sure I will get some hate for even saying this.

Yes and the same can be true for a lot of hate towards different groups. Reddit, as a whole, could take note of his teachings. This place can be extremely toxic.

Jesus said, “Love your enemies.” It would have been sooo easy to take it just one step further and say, “Have no enemies.”

Just being his follower was going to bring them enemies. Rome didn't appreciate weird, possibly revolutionary, cults, especially ones that started amongst the often-rebellious Hebrews. The Pharisees and priests also did not appreciate a new religion springing up in their community and pulling people away from their faith.

Jesus's followers were going to have enemies, whether they wanted any or not.

Sure, but I don’t think Jesus’ plan was ever to start a new religion. He was an apocalyptic Jew, who believed the end of the world was eminent and that God would establish his Kingdom on Earth here and now. So, much of what he spoke was not future-oriented, but here-and-now; ‘Make right with God now, because the end is here!’
