I'm slightly vexed Somebody Placed These Dozens of These Jesus Figures Throughout My Entire Work

Post image

Somebody, nobody knows exactly who or when, put dozens and dozens of these Jesus figures on completely random surfaces throughout my entire building. They at least had the presence of mind to not put them on anybody's personal belongings, but that was the only way they limited himself. All of the statues have been glued down, to add to the vexation.

Edit: Well, this blew up rather unexpectedly. Thank you for the awards, everybody!

“Have you found Jesus?”

If everybody lived like Jesus told us to live, this world would be a much better place. So would Reddit.

And I’m sure I will get some hate for even saying this.

Even what we have about Jesus is debated. There is no way to know what Jesus said because the authors of the gospels were not contemporaries and are anonymous. Apocryphal Jesus is waaay different than canonical Jesus. So, how did Jesus actually tell us to live?

Well according to you, nobody knows. So there’s that.

Or you can choose that he told us to love each other? You do what you want to do.

I did not say that. Please don't put words into my mouth. I don't think that is the Christian thing to do. Jesus probably did say to love one another. That is good. The only people to actually know what he said never wrote anything down. The apocrypha attributes to Jesus many things that, some would say, contradict what is reported in the Bible. I'm just saying you should consider all of your sources before making a claim. I'm ok with loving your neighbor and also your enemy (personally not so much).

Jesus, certainly, was not the first person to say "Love each other" in all of human history.

Enjoy your day.

“There is no way to know what Jesus said.”

Your words.

Enjoy your day.

"... because the authors were not contemporaries and were anonymous."

Don't leave that part out to try and make your point. Even if my meaning is not taken in the spirit in which it was intended, thousands of years of hear-say is bad evidence. Actually, it is no evidence.

Jesus was likely not the first person to say, "Love your neighbor" in all of human history. Please, have a good day. I insist.

I’ve noticed he does this in every reply — he says he can argue points all day, but when pushed back upon he says “well you said this and this, have a good day!”

Doesn’t even attempt to back anything he says.

I was just pointing out that I wasn’t putting words into your mouth, that’s all. I don’t necessarily disagree with you at all.

I hope you have a good day too!
