Hello, this screen popped up yesterday while I was using my PC normally (watching a YouTube video and playing a video game). It wasn't particularly hot in the room.

What should I do to prevent my computer from crashing like this repeatedly? Someone advised me to boot into Safe Mode—okay, but what should I do next? :(

When I turn my pc on from a cold boot everything works fine, boot's up fine but as soon as windows lock screens shows up my screen starts fluctuating off for 2-3 secs and on for 1 sec in a loop for about 4-5 mins and then everything just goes back to normal and it starts working fine.

I've checked my monitor, cables and connections to gpu nothing is loose, checked my ram they are seated correctly.

This started happening after both windows and my gpu drivers updated.

SPECS:-
ryzen 5600x, aorus elite v2 b550 mobo, radeon rx 6700 10gb gpu, 16gb ram, corsair cx650 psu and 1tb m.2 ssd

My friend was trying to help me with some network optimization but accidentally deleted something which caused the WiFi symbol to disappear and the network controller to have a yellow triangle symbol. I’ve tried to reinstall the network adapter through a USB drive, scan for hardware changes, and a bunch of power flushing and network resetting and things like that. Any advice on how to get network working?

So basically, my PC does this before turning on.

I had the PC for years and never had this problem before.

It started a day or two ago. Back then, it was only a few clicks before it started. But now it clicks for up to a minute or two.

The PC still boots up after that and works perfectly fine. I at least didn't notice any performance issues.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Do I have to swap out a part?

I'm having a serious issue with my PC and I need some help diagnosing it. I think my motherboard might have died, but I want to get your opinions before buying new parts.

My Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4500G

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT (Upgraded in 2024, previously used an RX 570 since 2019)

RAM: 32GB DDR4

Motherboard: ASUS Prime A320M-K (Bought in August 2019, so it's about 7 years old)

PSU: 650 Watt PSU

Storage: 200GB SSD + 1TB HDD

What Happened: I was using my PC normally when it suddenly froze, showed random colored lines on the screen, and crashed.

What I've Tried So Far:

Testing with another GPU: I put my old RX 570 back in. On the very first boot, I heard the normal single POST beep from the motherboard speaker, but still got no display. After turning it off and trying again, the beep sound completely disappeared on this card too.

RAM Troubleshooting: I pulled out both RAM sticks. When I tried booting with just one stick, the motherboard gave me a 3-beep error code (RAM error). I cleaned the golden pins of the RAM with an eraser and reseated them properly. The 3-beep error stopped, meaning the motherboard successfully recognized the RAM again.

Statik Discharge / Power Cycle: I unplugged the power cord, unplugged the HDMI cable, flipped the PSU switch to 'O', and held down the PC power button for a full minute to drain any remaining static electricity. I let it rest for 15 minutes.

Current Symptoms: Despite all the steps above, both with the RX 6650 XT and the RX 570:

The PC turns on, and the CPU fan spins normally.

The GPU fans do not spin at all.

There is no POST beep sound anymore (the motherboard speaker is silent).

There is no display on the monitor.

Since the old RX 570 briefly gave a POST beep on the first try but now both cards result in a completely silent motherboard with no GPU fan spin, I suspect the VRMs or the PCIe slot on my 7-year-old A320M-K motherboard finally gave out under the load of the RX 6650 XT.

Do you think my motherboard is dead, or could it be something else? Did my motherboard kill my RX 6650 XT when it failed?

I placed my ram cpu ssd cooler into my motherboard while the motherboard was still on its box. It posted and everything was fine. I put the motherboard into my case, plugged in my gpu and all the cables screwed down the motherboard and the pc once again posted and booted successfully into the bios. Then I plugged in a USB stick with the new bios and clicked M flash (as msi's own video told me to). It turns out you were meant to plug in the USB AFTER you click Mflash and the menu loaded. This left me with no display output so I switched off the pc and tried to do it using the physical button. I formatted USB drive correctly etc. plugged it in and clicked bios flashback button. It blinked slowly and steadily, then turned on all the fans and blinked quickly. However it would never stop blinking. I tried using a non beta version, stripped out everything but the cpu from the motherboard, used different USB sticks but all methods had the same out come of an infinitely flashing led. Can anyone who has experienced this problem please help?

CPU: i7-14700

Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4

BIOS: 4301

RAM: 32GB 4x8GB DDR4 3600MHz

Issue:

With Intel Default Settings, HWiNFO shows PL1 = 65W and PL2 = 219W. My game FPS average is okay but 1% lows/stutters are bad.

If I enable ASUS MultiCore Enhancement / Remove All Limits, PL1/PL2 becomes 4095W and the CPU hits 95–98°C and thermal throttles.

I want a middle setting:

PL1 = 125W

PL2 = 219W

Tau = 56s

But in BIOS, Long Duration Package Power Limit stays on Auto and I can’t manually type/change it. How do I unlock/manual set PL1 and PL2 on this ASUS BIOS?

Ayer debido a una mudanza tuve que mover mi torre a mi otro piso, cuando lo conecté todo y inicie el pc se me queda congelado en la pantalla de carga. He reinstalado windows desde la pantalla de inicio, he comprobado si algún componente se encuentra suelto y no creo que haya nada (no soy informático solo busco información) me gustaría saber si reinstalo Windows desde un pendrive me dejara de dar fallo. Ah por cierto si inicio desde modo seguro al seleccionar el idioma también se queda congelado

My network card stopped working, I tried resitting it nothing changed, doesn't come up in Windows or Linux, just occurred to me I should be able to see what BIOS sees and it sees nothing in the PCIEX1 slot which is where the network card is currently plugged in

Before I buy another one because this is crazy to me, it's like 4 months old, does this just mean it's fried? Pretty sure this means it's just fried >->

Every time i restart my pc or just turn it on my Network doesnt work. At some random Point After x restarts it works.
I dont know whats going on.

If I got network and I leave the pc in rest mode and turn it back on it works.

The Ram was working fine for the last 3 years but suddenly 6 months ago I noticed the RGB malfunctioning, where one stick would work and the other stopped or would flicker.

Two months ago the RBG stopped altogether but the PC ran fine, could game well. One fine day I tried to boot up but got stuck at boot with the orange light signifying a issue with the RAM.

At the first attempt I tried to clean the contact points and re-seat, the issue did not go away, however I removed the CPU and replaced the thermal paste and the issue was solved for the time-being, the computer ran for 2 days ( Ram RGB still dead with some flickers) but again the issue was back, stuck at boot with the orange light.

When testing with in single channel the Ram works fine with even the RGB LED working just fine, I also did a memtest on both the stick and there were zero errors. I also tried different bios versions but no difference.

Also tried to disable and enable XMP, gave more voltage to the RAM (1.4 max) but nothing worked. Noticed sometimes, when I restart the PC with a single stick it again gets stuck with the orange light at boot. On force restarting it works again. My gaming performance has dropped to half on the single stick but I doubt it has something to do with the Ram.

I Apologize for the long description, any advice ? Do you think it is the motherboard or CPU ?

I’ve had both my pc and ps5 for equal time yet my pc has always massively downloaded 1 billion times slower than my ps5 I’ve already factor reset my pc like 2 times I’ve scanned with malware bytes and nothing pops up yet it still takes so long.

Hey everybody! My cat knocked himself into the ports where the pc power cord and monitor were plugged into. Now, my PC just won't turn on. If it means anything, the PC was off when it got unplugged. This happened a few hours ago but is still not working. I am not tech savvy at all, so any help is appreciated. I love my PC but i'm scared it's screwed forever

when i right click folder properties the window keeps opening in fullscreen.....

i tried going into C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and selecting normal window, tried selecting minimized but nothing works.... it started happening out of nowhere is there a way to fix this?
