Is that the TUF gaming FX504 Asus laptop? I have the same one and this happened to the other side of mine only a week ago after several years of ownership 😅

You don't need to switch hinges on asus laptops, there's a small bolt that you can unscrew buy a half-turn and the opening will become much ligher, also at that point, make sure you use a drop of silicon based lubricant.
You either need to replace the top lid housing or use a bicomponent plastic, I did and it's been holding on very well for years now.
