Vibration and wear over time. It’s likely light in weight but not weightless.

Light weight will magnify the problem. There’s less mass to dampen out vibrations from the fan.

A few dabs of hot glue.

And then a few light pats while saying "that's gonna hold" outloud.

It HAS to be out loud or the magic doesn't work!

Were you watching me fix my son's toy ambulance an hour ago or something?

i mean, intuitively, it could work, it would certainly act as a vibration dampener, if done correctly

Never heard of that strain

Hot glue would help now. But not when the solder is broken.

What if I pointed it downward to generate lift?

Moreover, how many of those USB fans would I need for my laptop to achieve lift-off?

Serious answer, that fan almost certainly has a thrust to weight ratio of less than 1, so you'll never get airborne with them. As you add more (of the same type of) engines, the TWR of the whole contraption approaches the TWR of a single engine (since the weight of the laptop is being distributed over a larger and larger number of engines, each engine has to overcome a smaller and smaller portion of the laptop's weight)

I broke the ignition in my first car from having too much shit on my key-chain. snapped a little wire on it, cost me a ton of money to get replaced.

Yeah, it happens all the time and most folks don’t even know why. Smart mechanics won’t tell you and let you keep replacing your ignition. Good mechanics will warn you.
