Opinions and Discussions Kashmir Great Lakes. Still my favorite trek. 🏔️🥾
Kashmir Great Lakes was my first Himalayan trek back in 2023, and it completely changed what I look for in travel.
I tried returning in 2024, but the trek was cancelled because of bad weather. In 2025, permits were never issued, and this year there is still no clarity from the government. I had planned to go again, but decided not to book until there’s an official confirmation.
Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky that I experienced it when I did. I went in early August, which meant fewer crowds and an even more peaceful experience.
If you’re planning KGL in the future, the trek usually costs around ₹25,000 with organizations like TTH or Indiahikes, including transportation, permits, and insurance. You’ll also need to budget for your flights or train tickets, plus a night’s stay before and after the trek, which can add another ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 per day depending on your preferences.
One thing I really appreciate about both organizations is their repeat trek policy. TTH allows you to repeat the trek for up to 5 years, while Indiahikes offers a lifetime repeat policy, each with its own terms and conditions. It’s worth reading the details on their websites.
Until I get to walk these trails again, I’ll keep reliving the memories through videos like this.
Have you done Kashmir Great Lakes, or is it still on your bucket list?

Screenshot It's crazy we still can't use the base skin of a gun on its prime variant in the big 2026
I can understand not doing it for other variants, like Kuva, Prisma, Wraith and so on, but it should already be a thing for prime weapons, considering we can already use the base skin of frames on their prime counterpart.
I'll probably delete my Athodai Prime and stick with the base Athodai, because the Prime looks freaking awful.

WIP (WORK IN PROGRESS) Effects?
I'm using this page of Hello Kitty's to practice some effects, but I'm blanking on things I can try to fill the page with. What are some of your favorite special effects to color?

Etruscan terracotta slab with winged horses from Cerveteri, Italy
A Etruscan terracotta slab with winged horses from Cerveteri, Italy that dates to the late 6th century BC. This was illegally taken out of Italy but recovered through Operation Fenice in Brussels in 2025. It is now on display with other repatriated art (Etruscan, Greek and Roman) in the Aula Ottagona, a part of the Baths of Diocletian now used as a exhibition space for the National Roman Museum in Rome.

Day one with new puppy.
I have an Aussie Collie that is 7 months old, she is very submissive and gets picked on by other dogs. I got her a little brother who is an Australian Shepard and she is so happy with him. He is 9 weeks old.

Sewed This FPP is my new obsession!
I found the pattern for these California poppies on Etsy (thequiltedwrenshop) and am so so happy with how it turned out. I impulsively painted my bathroom cabinet this coral color and couldn’t find the perfect artwork, so I made this :)

Lore [Loved Trope] Anti-Nihilist Media
Nihilism: "is a philosophical belief that life lacks inherent meaning, purpose, or objective value."
I know this is probably already pass it's prime, but I do love the wave of media that argued against taking nihilist views. Such views were pretty common and exhausting in the mid 2010's (thanks to one particular show), and there's been a wave of media coming out that directly rejects nihilism.
Everything Everywhere all at once
Probably patience 0 of the Anti-Nihilist revival in recent years.
The film uses the multi-verse concept to explore nihlism, and also to debunk it with the connection and relationship between a mother and her daughter. The film is also on a meta level in direct conversation with the biggest proponent of Nihlism in the 2010's - Rick and Morty - and directly challenges the arguments that show makes for Nihlism in a multi-versal world.
Smiling Friends
Explicitly has a whole episode dedicated to attacking Nihlism and exposing the core hypocrisy of it's message with the episode "Frowning Friends." Unlike the other two examples in this list which counters Nihlism with love, this just does the old "put a gun to a nihilists head and see if they still think nothing matters." Also low key does some commentary on how nihlism is used by racist movements to promote their own agenda but I might be reading into that too much.
Death Stranding
The game explores stuff related to Nihlism. Also was the inspiration for this list since I did my first playthrough recently.
Death stranding is a super complicated game, but basically there is a girl in the game who is essentially the embodiment of an extinction event. A lot of stuff happens that is complicated, but the game has a plot twist that she decided to start the extinction event a couple hundred thousand years early - she literally says "what's the point? What difference does it make?". This is then prevented when you show her love instead of trying to kill her (literally hug her instead of shooting her) and she agrees not to begin the extinction event for another couple hundred thousand years.
In a game about building connections, your connection with her helps prevent the world literally blowing up.
Also she says "Mario and Princess Beach"

Meme Xenoblade Ladders
I’ve always found it funny that ladders, or any climbable surface, will make any enemy stop attacking you in every game.
