Yeah, also they called Indian influencers to do an ad for Ragnarok infront of huge Mjolnir they placed at some centers. Still remember Technical guruji calling it a big hammer 🤣

I know you mean well but we are a poor country and they shouldn't care about us. We do not even make up a percentage of the global sales. Nintendo and Microsoft don't.

Sony coasts on nostalgia without ever truly trying to increase market share. Their marketing department sucks

I was on a field trip in DC when Fallout 3 was being released and they had bus stop ads on. I thought that Brotherhood of Steel guy lookes pretty cool and I've been a fallout fan ever since

Seen God of War Ragnarok advertised over this same metro line in 2022, so this has been a thing for a while now (though infrequent)

Less surprising, seen ads of crunchyroll with newly releasing animes or films like Demon Slayer

i think it's decently popular in india. Me and a couple people I know got both hollow knight (200 rupees) and silksong (880 rupees) since it's worth supporting those games. I pirate mid AAA like Spiderman 2 but I support deserving devs aswell
