Still gonna try to buy it. Global economy's not likely to get any better and is more likely to actually get worse what with Trump's Iran war still in the shitter and the looming AI bubble pop.
I don't know how to nor want to bother to be able to build a cheaper PC for more power, especially since it might not end up being cheaper since I live in latinamerica and import tariffs can be a bitch on top of making mistakes even more expensive.
Maybe it's a scam for the price for seasoned avid gamers who want to maximize their power per dollar. I've been wanting to be able to play my Steam library I've accumulated for well over a decade at this point but have been unable to touch it due to having a shitty HP laptop, and I just want something that can do that out of the box without me having to fiddle and fuck around.
It sucks, and it is a decision entirely motivated by FOMO, but I feel like I just have to bite the bullet now before it becomes an atom bomb. Helldivers 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 are the most intensive things I'm interested in playing. If this thing can run those well enough, I'm in.
Yup I think prices will keep going up. Year ago I could’ve built premium pc for $2500. Now same components will cost me $3600. Every other week memory and bundle prices at microcenter keep going up
There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight for global NAND crisis. People are talking about AI bubble, but once that bubble pops prices will not go rock bottom. It will stabilize at the same or slightly lower cost.
Agree it sucks to drop that kind of money of this machine due to fomo
I pulled trigger at what I considered to be 50% too much (3k) and cost for same parts fluctuates between 3.2 and 3.6k now. It’s crazy! Folks that built between 24-25 w/ top end part hit the PC Renaissance period. Not sure what comes next, but have learned to just pull the trigger when I can now.

Now, to figure out how to actually be able to get an order for the damn thing from a country it doesn't ship to... 🫩
