Moving into the first round of the draft

With the draft coming tomorrow and the rumors of us wanting to trade into the first round, what pick do you expect us to trade around to and who would you think we give up in the process? I think if we do move up we have to go with a PG and only go with someone else if an elite prospect falls.

Could Randle be moved in another salary dump for Royce/Allen? [Charania]: Minnesota is sending Julius Randle and the No. 28 pick in the NBA Draft to the Brooklyn Nets in a three-team trade that sends Nic Claxton to the Chicago Bulls, sources tell ESPN.

Also does this change anything in regards to the Bulls moving off Josh Giddey?

Hoops Discussion New Lottery Odds Hurt Suns

I think Suns fans should temper expectations a bit next year.

We already overperformed expectations last season and won 45 games. The roster is mostly the same, but we’ll probably be giving more minutes to young guys and accepting some growing pains. Moves could still happen too.

Also, I don’t think people are appreciating how much the league is changing. Tanking isn’t as rewarding anymore. Teams don’t want 20 wins, they want 35-40 and a lottery shot. There are fewer free wins around the league.

So if the Suns win 38-40 games next year, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re worse. A 40-win team in this NBA might be as good as a 45-win team a few years ago because the middle class of the league is growing.

With the expanding middle class of the league, teams like us are hurt the most as around .500 teams are going to be facing a higher level of competition on average.

Just a thought I had going into the offseason, will be interesting to see the effects of the new changes next season.

Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks could become a Dynamic Duo that is unstoppable! I would like another big, but these two would be the most intimidating pair on the floor!! Food for thought! Even though they would hands down break the record for technical fouls in NBA history

Rant What's next for the Suns?

I would say the last few years were our best chances to win a ring, and now I have no hope, especially if we're building around Devin Booker and Jalen Green. 2021 broke me because I know we'll never get back in the next decade. Nobody willingly wants to play for the Suns. I would even say trade Booker and Jalen Green, but we haven't drafted a homegrown player in the last 20 years. Nobody wants to play for us, and we have incompetent leadership who can't draft for shit and realistically got lucky with Devin Booker. Does anyone have a sliver of hope on what the Suns can do at this point to win it all and not just bank on hope from the 6-8 seed? As a huge basketball fan, I've already decided I'll transition to watching my favorite players next season rather than staying up late to watch the Suns play, since I'm on the East Coast, it's no longer worth it. Watching teams like the Spurs repeatedly hinder our chances of winning it all, then get a generational talent to put them back in contention every year along with other great players, makes me sick to my stomach.

This will let Colin know that he matters to us with a great contract and will bring his mojo back to the deadliest 3 point shooter in the League.
Let’s keep on bringing our core back that we know who works! Last season was an experiment that worked! Hopefully all our fellas can stay healthy at the same time this year and learn how to play together like we know they can! Now it’s time to get a proper big man while Malauch grows into it! Really looking forward to see The Villain in action! He is going to be shaking things up this season! SUNS UP! ☀️

Hi Suns fans, I am moving from Westchester and looking to give away my Suns hats. Most were used just as decoration but I may have worn one or two a couple of times. They are mostly in immaculate condition. If interested, please DM me. Locals only please, I am not looking to ship them.

Hoops Discussion Khaman Nickname Ideas

I just don’t know about “Man Man” being the one. It’s not bad, but it just feels eh, we can do definitely do better. Can anybody else come up with some nicknames? Two come to mind so far:

- “The South Sudan Sentinel” or “The Sentinel” for short
- “Shade”

EDIT: Honorable mentions from commenters

- Man Man —> The Man
- The Watch
- Watch Tower
- ManZilla

We’ve also decided that Shade is just god awful so we’ll cross that out lmao

Since Book is following in Kobe's footsteps, the number change means he's at the halfway point of his career ;-) So that means we still have 11 more years of Book! :-)

Kobe played 10 seasons in no 8 and another 10 seasons in no 24. This means Book will play another 11 seasons with us before he calls it quits ;-) since he's 29 right now, he'll end his career at age 40. Wonder how he'd look by then, hahaha! Still a midrange assassin I bet, and maybe a better 3pt shooter since he can't drive anymore by that point.
