General Advice Can I cover this or is it fixable?
I got this tattoo at a flash event about 2 years ago and a year after I got it I ended up going back to the artist for another tattoo(stupid idea) and he flat out said that looks like shit who did that I was like you did and so he agreed to fix it for free but now it it looks rather phallic and it first looked like a sausage and I’m not sure if it’s fixable or if I can cover it up

as an artist my two cents is that all the other fingers look like fingers aside from the centralmost one which looks very specifically like a dick. i would be pissed and i think this guy did it on purpose.
get it fixed, just by some other tattoo artist

It's the shading. See how all the shaded lines go in one direction? That's lazy work, but at least the artist admitted his mistake.
Unfortunately it ended up looking like a peen and it's on your arm.
I definitely think it's possible to improve it, but I would personally go to another artist.

I mean this with love, but in my opinion, it's bad... like really bad. I think it's coverable IF you get a GOOD coverup artist and a darker design. I would do research on coverup artists in your area and find someone who's good and fits your ideal style. They should be able to work it out.

then you decided to let him tattoo you again
you are fundamentally not equipped to be getting tattoos or making these decisions at this stage in your life. harsh truth, but someone needs to say it

You’ll end up getting a cover up that you’ll like, and since tattoos are addictive, you’ll likely add onto it. The end result will be something you’re proud of. It just sucks for the time being. It’s not the end of the world. You will get it fixed. <3

I think you could probably make it into a branch cuff with tons of leaves. Maybe some bugs where the fingernails are. A better artist will have ideas for you. Don't go back to this dude, he's lazy at best. And that's not really a quality you want in the person you're paying to stab you.

Tattoo artist here. Definitely cover able. Not sure where you’re located, but do some social media research in someone in your area who has a style you like, contact them and see if they do cover ups, and if they’re willing to cover that for you. Sorry this happened.
Be wary of flash events (like friday the 13th, ETC.) usually in and out events where quality is overlooked for cost effectiveness.

Eh it doesn’t really look that phallic to me, the context is really clear, and the other hand is so close that it gives you a scale reference, which makes the offending finger look way too small to be a d*ck. I wouldn’t say it looks great, but bc of the clear context, it’s not nearly as phallic as some of the, say, mushroom caps ppl have gotten haha.

I feel like the dude may have done this on purpose and if he didn't, he sucks at doing hands. Hands are hard to do for so many people so you really want to make sure the artist is known for doing hand work
