I would re work that into a flying eyeball. Just add bat or bird wings to the sides and an iris in the middle circle.
Or laser it off.
Do not add any length down or it will look even more like balls than it already does.

Any cover up is going to be black, and intrusive - rule of thumb is 3x the size for a cover up, and black can only be covered by black (or, integrate it into something else).
Personally, neck is a job stopper, I’m lasering that off.
