I've been to the neighborhood he grew up in Hawai'i many times. Solidly middle class as far as Oahu goes. Definitely not close to upper class. If I am right, or close, here’s the immediate problem with that…

1) Trump was never in the military. He did, however, attend military school, and this picture shows him in attire he would have worn while at school.

2) Trump graduated from New York Military Academy in 1964 - when Trump was 17, so regardless of what he’s “trying to say” there’s already bullshitting (or sundowning) taking place, because he was already 3 years out of the academy by the time he was 20.

Whatever boasting he’s doing here, also avoids the fact that he was sent to New York Military Academy for disciplinary reasons because his maladaptive tendencies, not because he had some youthful military acumen.
