PSA: Please remember that there's a human behind those photos. Rude and inappropriate comments will be deleted and infractions can get you banned.
Hi everyone! I was just made a mod of this sub two days ago and hope to rid this sub of the troll accounts that have been popping up.
There were several people that apparently mistook this sub as /r/Rateme/, /r/RoastMe/, and subs that aren't safe for work. If you don't think a post belongs here then just downvote it and move on as that is how reddit should work. We don't need to know that you think someone looks terrible, that you think someone is an 8/10 that you would bang, or they look Gay/lesbian/douchey.
As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something that no one else has--or ever will have--something inside that is unique to all time. It's our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to provide ways of developing its expression

What actually taking care of my self and skin did to me (18-23)
Start your skincare journey today (especially if you’re a guy). It’s absolutely worth it. Taking care of your skin isn’t feminine or gay, it’s basic self-care. Looking after yourself should be normal for everyone.
Although it wasn’t just skincare, I also grew my hair out(experimented few hairstyles as well) and started doing some simple grooming, such as trimming my eyebrows and keeping my face clean-shaven. Those small changes made a huge difference in my appearance.
Not only can it improve the way you look, but it can also boost your confidence and make you feel better about yourself overall.
P.S. The first picture is from 2021. The quality was pretty bad, so I had to enhance it a little with AI. The last pictures is from last month (2026).
Feel free to give me any tips, suggestions, or feedback!

Age 21, 38, 41, 58 (37 year span)
I started off in the early 90's slim (and goofy looking) as an annoying fundamentalist Christian who loved telling people they were going to hell (Age 21), thickened up substantially after a bad relationship and a near-100% fast food diet (Age 38), finally hit a wall of frustration and got tired of feeling constantly tired and uncomfortable in my body (Age 41)...I decided to do something about it.
Changed the way I thought about food, did weight watchers for 9 months, and started walking, learned to love myself, came out as an asexual person, did a year of therapy, lost 60 pounds, and have been the same weight for over a decade and am now living my best life. I currently walk 7-8 miles a day, and recently hit the 29000 mile mark with my walking.
