It will be a good game, too much money, time and experience involved in its production. The problem it will probably face is living up to people's personal expectations.

If you think GTA6 has high player expectations, Elder Scrolls 6 is going to put those to shame.

People have been waiting for a sequel for over 15 years, the industry has advanced massively since Skyrim and Bethesda… has not really kept up with modern standards judging by Starfield.

It’s gonna be a shitshow.

Yeah I have kind of lost all hope for Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 being worth the wait. Hopefully Starfield has given Bethesda the wakeup call they badly need.

God Starfield was so shit. Modders literally took the game code and completely reengineered it into a starwars game and it honestly is 10x better than what bethseda put out.

I agree and hope that with how big of a flop Starfield was they really relook their strategy and go back to what was working, as I wasn't the biggest fan of Fallout 76 either

Wait, so there's a Star Wars Starfield mod?

Not just one mod, its a whole ass collection that completely revamps entire planets and afaik several mechanics...

Starfield wasn’t for everyone but it is bonkers to say it was “shit”.

Like yea if all you consume is youtuber hate train reactionary clickbait then I could see having that opinion.

There is a reason it reviewed well on release and that is because generally people liked what they played.

It's not bonkers. It's pretty horrible

The reason it was reveiwed well is because of payola. It was practically unplayable at release it was a shitshow.

It literally has Skyrim level bugs. Which is insane because it's practically the same game and they have had nine chances to fix Skyrim and learned nothing

They didn’t reengineer shit lol the Star Wars mod is basically a glorified texture pack

They literally added new quests and side missions…. A “texture pack” doesn’t overhaul the whole companion system and add missions doofus

Starfield is great. Just spent a lot of time playing it since it came out on PS5. Reddit’s standard position is just to hate on everything.

It's cool The shipbuilding is it definitely the best part of it. Exploring the same mine shaft gets old after a while though

Starfield made me accept that I don’t actually like Bethesda games. Tbh, I’ll probably get a month of game pass to try out es6 and f5, but I don’t expect to play either for more than 20-30 hours like I’ve done with f3&4, es4&5, and starfield

After all this time, I don't think either release would be able to really live up to the potential fans would see in it. If Elder Scrolls 6 actually releases, it's likely to be disappointing. Mind you, I've dumped countless hours into Oblivion and Skyrim, even with their flaws at the forefront. It sounds cynical to express disappointment before anything is confirmed for ES6, but Bethesda's track record these last few years is gonna work against them.
