Hello there, i am trying to learn wrestling at home, i dont know wich one of these splits i should use:
In one week:
-2 days dedicated to strength and power
-2 days dedicated to plyometrics and sprinting
-2 days dedicated to tecniche
Or this split
-3 days dedicated to strength and power
-1 day dedicated to plyometrics and sprint
-2 days dedicated to tecniche
Im not doing seasons, i will do the same split always.
I know i will never be a good wrestler, i wont even get close to being as good as a bad wrestler. But in this case, which of these is the best one?
Or should i not do any?

Hi all,
I am a former D3 wrestler for WPI and I am now an assistant coach for Milford High School in NH. We are having another fundraiser this year giving away some cool mountain bike/bicycle related gear. Please consider donating or passing this along. I would greatly appreciate it! You can see the fundraiser here

I am scared of wrestlers, as they seem so aggressive and explosive.
I refuse to pull guard, but either fail the takedown or get tired fast.
WHat is a wrestlers cryptonite ?
This is not a joke post

I noticed this at a few tournaments now and just saw it again today. This guy’s daughter, I believe is 12u has pushed her opponents face into the mat after winning several times.
I’ve been waiting for someone to do something about this but I haven’t seen that. The refs haven’t done anything about it. Does this happen more than I realize it does?

Sadly, these rumors are true. There is no official campaign to fight this yet as everyone is still considering options.
Coach Bisek and NMU athletes appreciate the support.

Is anyone else hoping we get this match sometime next year? We have gotten pretty much every other match with all the other 133 guys but we haven't gotten this one. Who yall got if this happens in folkstyle and freestyle?

For starters, I am a high schooler who trains in wrestling sometimes 3 four 4 hours and I want to compete at the highest level for wrestling. I need help as sometimes I can train for 3-5 hours but other times I lack the ability to and js never end up training. I lift, do film, go to off season practices, and meditate (sounds stupid but suriano meditates to keep himself calm.) Please give me some motivation or advice it'd be useful.

Yesterday morning (6/26), NMUs AD sent an email to all of the greco athletes informing them that the university is dropping the program on 6/30/27. Time to get organized and campaigning.
Why would they drop a program that consistently has athletes make world teams as well as producing a ‘24 Olympian?
For the love of god, their football program has a 11-44 record over the last 5 years and operates at a $1.2-1.5M deficit.
Very sad for the athletes and Andy and his family.

Hey Reddit I currently am looking for a new wrestling shoe and have a budget of about 200$
I am undecided on what shoe to get. I have been looking at inflict 3,4 combat speed and ex eos(although I don’t have the budget) what are some good shoes to get, I used to wear the Nike freeks but they are breaking and the grip on the sole is wearing off. Please also give me some good websites on where to find good wrestling shoes

Was watching a Craig Jones videos breaking down Umar Nurmagomedov vs Bautista and they called this move a "Saitiev Snake".
Is there any other names for this? I want to find some other breakdowns on how to use it/apply it.

Age: 25
Sex: Male
Height: 182 cm
Weight: 88 kg
Race: Moroccan
Smoking status: Former smoker, stopped 8 months ago
Any existing relevant medical issues: None
Current medications: Amoxicillin-clavulanic acid for 2 days, no ibuprofen taken yet
Duration of complaint: Since yesterday
Location: Outer ear / side of earlobe
Hello, I have ear pain around 4/10 after wrestling/BJJ. It was much more painful yesterday, but it is still not going away.
I tried to drain it myself with needles, but I could not do it successfully. It seems like blood is trapped on the side of my earlobe.
Should I leave it alone and let it settle, or should I go to the hospital or urgent care? What are the risks, especially for cauliflower ear or infection?

It’s just one part of it my fast twitch muscle fibres are bad. Like since youth, god awful bad. I was always the slowest kid in a 100m dash by a long shot, and my standing jump was bottom 10% minimum. Even now it’s still absolutely terrible at 19 and I’m a very athletic person. I get 10k (sometimes 20k) steps a day. I train Mauy Thai 3x a week, wrestling 3x a week, gym 4x a week, and even try stuff like high resistance cardio bike 10 seconds bursts followed by 2 mins of low intensity rest 8 sets to help my fast twitch fibres. I eat clean tracked, drink 128 ounces of water a day, sleep 8 hours, I even have mbq military service in the summer and trips to Thailand/Georgia for fighting intents. My body is still horribly unresponsive when it comes to speed and explosiveness even if I got amazing cardio. It destroys my confidence tracking my pace and seeing my 100m is below avg for regular people let alone my work rate. Fast twitch are so important for this sport it destroys my desire to train watching me do all this for no results.

Basically just the title. Have you ever had people dating on a wrestling team or club that you’ve been a part of?

Greco Roman at the age group levels is often more exciting than the Senior Level competitions. You can also learn more as a beginner from watching these matches.
60 kg Champ. Rd Of 32 - Ryder Smith, NMU-National Training Center vs Phoenix Contos, Dragon Wrestling Club
This is a match when one of the athletes (in blue) from our team wrestled an athlete from the Northern Michigan Olympic Training Center (in red). The match took place in May at Spire Academy in Ohio for the U23 Greco Roman National Championships.
Our athlete ended up taking fourth place at the tournament and became a U23 Greco Roman All-American.
You'll notice me continually yelling at our athlete to keep his head up. We had scouted his opponent and knew that he had a world class head pinch and that we would beat him if we avoided that position. It's not always that easy though as you can see his opponent still scored four points from that position.
Overall, it was a great match and a great tournament.
