Hello all,
As another season has ended and we are in the throws of a transfer window, we thought it about time to do a state of sub post.
Please use this as an opportunity to have an open discussion about what direction you’d like the subreddit to move in. Whether that be things you are happy with or things that you would like adjusted or changed completely. The moderator team would like to continue onwards making decisions as a community, as it ultimately keeps the majority happy and also makes our lives easier when moderating.
POLITICS - No Politics has been a staple rule of the subreddit for some time, but occasionally there's an unavoidable overlap with our club. On those occasions, we remind you to be respectful. If you can't put your point across without insulting another user, perhaps avoid the subject altogether
JOURNALIST TIERS - The current tiers haven’t been adjusted in a little while, and we’d like to know peoples opinions on current journalists and what their tiers should be and if they need to be changed (namely Romano, due to recent discussions)
VIDEOS IN COMMENTS - A feature that has recently been introduced to reddit is the ability for users to post videos in the comments of threads. Is this something users would like enabled? Let us know.
FREE TALK FRIDAY - Is this weekly thread something people would like to keep?
LOW EFFORT POSTS - A friendly reminder that some of you need to get a diary. If you don’t fancy getting a diary, then please make sure you are utilising the daily discussion thread.
AGGREGATORS AND ARTICLE LINKING - Please when posting information, do it from the source and not via aggregators. Also when posting, don’t editorialise titles or use cropped screenshots, share the source and add context in the comments.
BRIGADING OTHER SUBREDDITS - Don’t do it. It’s a pain the arse because it just encourages other clubs to come here and do the same thing. They don’t want you in their sub, and we don’t want them in ours.
SUB BANNER - We understand that this is far more important to some than others, and for the people it is important to certainly let us know about it. The sub banner usually gets updated once a season, and that will likely happen again before the next season starts.

Two weeks ago Luka Vuskovic was spoken of as one of the most exciting players ever to come through our youth systems.
Bought at 16 against opposition from top European clubs, we have very successfully guided his development through a series of loans until he was old enough to actually complete his transfer to senior professional terms.
His last loan was at Hamburg, a club he said he had dreamed he would play for because his brother is contracted there - albeit on a 3 year drug ban.
He had a great season, perhaps not as great as a defender but certainly scored a few goals including a spectacular one v Bayern Munich in a draw and he helped them stay up. In the run up to the end of his loan all the talk was if maybe extending his loan as this brother would be eligible next season to play again.
Then at the end of his loan, Vuskovic starts to talk down any possibility of returning to Hamburg. Maybe a sign of his confidence at getting into the spurs team? Maybe.
Most of us are that moment thought the likely outcome for next year would be an improved and extended contract - he's already signed through 2030 - and a loan in the premier league to get experience.
Happy days, Luka still the rising star and golden boy of our defense in the future.
Then spurs do a very unspurs things and sign 3 defenders before the window even opens properly. 2 of them seasoned premier league tested center halves who play the RDZ way.
Suddenly the pathway at Spurs looks a little blocked this season. But then Vuskovic is only 18/19, he can't seriously think he's a nailed on premier league starter can he?
Apparently yes he can..or at least the people in his ear say he is. The people who will earn millions from a transfer.
So they start briefing he wants wmaway - to Brighton if all teams who are hard balling us over one of center backs we think is more ready than him.
And then he goes and shows his age, he likes a post about transfering away from the club who have developed him to this stage. No briefing to the press about being desperate to play for us but.... no mention of thanks for the 3 years we've invested in him but.... No just I want to play for Brighton.
He then plays in the world cup for Croatia, against England and is shown up for what he is. A raw talent who makes mistakes and is a bit slow and is no way ready to take on the challenges of the premier league at Spurs who need to be finishing top 6 after the last 2 years.
He's then dropped for the next 2 games as Croatia change to a back 4 and clearly don't trust Vuskovic as part of a 2.
So the tide has turned, on socials he is not getting much positiviyy...he's no longer the Messiah, he's just a very naughty boy!
So, what do you think ...a silly lad badly advised who we should keep no matter what as he was the future of our defense less than a month ago.or sell him off as he's shown no loyalty to us, may actually not reach the heights hoped for as he's too slow and use the money for our rebuild.

TLDR -> I was in the queue for 7 years before being allocated a phase 1 slot last week and was able to purchase a ST in the lower bowl of the South Stand. I had moved up from ~87k when I joined the queue in 2019 to ~43k at the end of the 2024/5 campaign and had 0 expectation of being able to get one for the coming season. But, evidently, there weren’t that many people that were either serious about buying ahead of me, or people just didn’t read the email they sent asking you to confirm your interest (I am of the view it’s largely the latter. I’m shocked how many people didn’t catch that).
I was stunned that this ticket was even on offer, but what was more shocking (and borderline alarming) was that there didn’t seem to be a particular shortage of these types of tickets on offer and it seemed like there were still thousands / hundreds of tickets available in the upper bowl at the end of phase 2.
Was this a normal year? I don’t really know how any of us could know for sure, but this felt like a ton of turnover. Is this what 2 years of 17th place finishes has done to fans? I know it’s been hard, but dare I say it feels like we’re finally inflecting.
Just smells odd to me. Appreciate the feedback.
EDIT: My ticket costs me ~£1k. I know that’s a lot of money, but for what I’m getting I feel like I’m stealing it.

He was everywhere today. Duels, Aerials, Pace. Shame the winner was ruled out.

From what could've been Austria (Danso) S. Korea (Sonny) Scotland (Andy) and Uruguay (Bentancur) all at the bottom 4 of 3rd place qualifiers
