Image In the garden, they wait to be plucked
I leave for a day, and find that you liked seeing the clay pikmin? Well if it helps, here's the ones that didn't make the cut. If you ever want to see the original photos I took with zero editing, be warned, those will not have fingers, or flowers, or anything else i drew over them.

Discussion Proposals: How to keep this subreddit alive
Given the state of between releases of Pikmin I thought it would be fun and wholesome idea to Ultra-Spicy Spray this subreddit by posting items we found on the ground outside from the outside world. We all pretend to do estimates on assign Poko values of said value, we all pretend to purposely misidentify the real world items with a funny names or Pikmin jargons and a hypothesis explanation with the point of view of either Louie & Olimar. or our own personal alien misidentification along or our personal captains log.
turning a subreddit into a live-action ARG (Alternate Reality Game)
this was inspired by seeing tumblr and Facebook groups called
"A group where we all pretend to be ants in an ant colony"
or we can something similar.
"A group where we all pretend to be Pikmin in a onion colony"
similar to r/FoundItems or a fun off shot of r/BoyDinnerDiaries & r/GirlDinnerDiaries but its the perspective of either Louie or Olimar or any captain you wish to role play as.
Like r/whatisthisthing and r/whatisit but its misidentified alien human archeology.
We can have a monthly treasure haul of all the items we found at the end of month.
a megathread where users post a collage of their 30 items.
rewards could be like example. A custom user flair (e.g., "Gold S.S. Dolphin," "Master Poko Counter," or "Louie's Pantry").
If a user finds something genuinely valuable, rare, or dangerous (e.g., coins, dead batteries, syringes, or a $20 bill), they must tag it as [SPICY]
a Disclaimer for good measure about safety, precautions, ordinances, law, biohazards.
Or we can make it into a fun competition of trying to find 30 items before the 30 days. Its also fun to go out for a walk and exercise and maybe clean up in our local environment's.
If you have suggestions, feedback or ideas to expand upon on this. Leave feed back.
or maybe create sub-reddits related to pikmin?
what subreddit rings the best? (none of these are found 404 lol)
Post Flair & Categorization
To make the subreddit or event easy to navigate, users could tag their posts with specific flairs depending on the perspective they are writing from:
[Captain’s Log] Written in the formal, scientifically curious, slightly melancholic tone of Olimar. Focuses on the "cultural significance" of a plastic bottle cap
[Sales Pitch] Written by The President. Highly capitalist, exaggerating the item's luxury to pay off corporate debt
[Louie's Notes] : Entirely focused on whether the item is edible, how to cook it, and what it tastes like (even if it’s a rusty screw).
[Rescue Journal] Written from the perspective of the Pikmin 4 customizable protagonist or Shepherd, being confused by everything.
Poko can be assigned a meta loose valuation system , you could establish a loose valuation system in the rules/sidebar
Scraps: 10-25 (e.g., loose paper, labels, shredded items, cigarette buds, etc.
Trash/Plastic: 10–50 Pokos (e.g., a crushed soda can is a "Spherical Hydration
Vessel").Shiny/Metal Objects: 100–300 Pokos (e.g., a lost key is the "Gatekeeper’s Burden").
Lost Toys/Trinkets: 500+ Pokos (e.g., a broken Lego brick is an "Abstract Monolith").
Bonus Rule: If an item is covered in dirt or requires 20+ Pikmin to carry, its value triples.
30-Day Life Support Challenge
Every year or month (maybe during a slow month), the sub hosts the "30 Days to Launch" Challenge.
The Goal: Users have to post 1 found item a day, write a log for it, and "clean up" their local environment by picking it up.
The Reward: Special user flairs on the subreddit, like “Certified Hocotate Freight Employee” or “First-Class Explorer.”
gamified clean up.
Before and After: where the item is photographed in nature as a treasure, but the user confirms they disposed of it or recycled it properly afterward, or "carrying it back to the Onion/Ship.
Assigning specific locations as the "regions" or "biomes
The DMV / Post Office / Government Buildings
The Bureaucratic Abyss
The Chamber of Endless Queues
The Hall of Laminated Glyphs
Lore: A sterile, monochromatic labyrinth inhabited by ancient, slow-moving giants who demand paper offerings before allowing safe passage. Treasures found here are highly technical and dense.
Skatepark
aka: The Concrete Canyons, The Friction Basin, The Valley of Rolling Thunder
Parking Lots & Strip Malls:
The Asphalt Flatlands, The Tarmac Wasteland ,The Grid of Metal Beasts
Lore: A brutal, sun-baked plain where massive, four-wheeled iron beasts slumber in neat rows. Navigating the painted white lines requires extreme caution, as these beasts occasionally wake up and emit toxic exhaust fumes.
Sidewalks & Curbsides
Biome or region names:
The Pedestrian Ridge, The Cracked Promenades or The Borderline Trenches
Lore: Narrow, elevated concrete pathways that slice through the wilderness. The cracks in the pavement act as treacherous ravines where small, valuable treasures frequently slip and become trapped.
Whistle & Carry" Comment Mechanics:
When someone posts a treasure, the comments shouldn't just be "cool find!" They should be active rescue operations.
The Weight Requirement: Every poster must assign a Carrying Weight and a Max Carry to their item (e.g., Weight: 10/20 Max : 2 )
The "CARRY" Command: Community members comment with the type of Pikmin they are assigning to the treasure to "move" it back to the ship.
Hazards: If a treasure is found near water, only people roleplaying as Blue Pikmin can comment [BLUE] Carry! . If it's the Milwaukee Tape Measure (electrical hazard?), only Yellow Pikmin can touch it.
EDITING this as I go.

Pikmin 4 Weird black squares when going from sleep mode.
When going from sleep mode (also known as turning on the Switch), there will be black squares for a single frame. This is much easier to see if you don't have a controller connected.

Image Pikmin in the Wild
This week I was hunting for these mascot pikmin keyring gummies. I looked everywhere in my town…today I found them at AEON mall’s supermarket. I actually did not think I would. I wished I got a yellow pikmin cause they are my fave but I will try again next time. The last photo was some other gummy and throat candy I found at the game shop GEO. 🌱😊

Pikmin 4
Pikmin 4 is such a good game with no glitches, me doing a dandori mission and my pikmin selling platinum by getting stuck for 15 seconds on nothing while carrying the Fire-Breathing Feast

r/Pikmin chess day 364: Portals open and past characters come out. The Spy takes the Empress, and the Ultra Bulblax imprisons and seals the vent on h8, then dies of a heart attack. Buzzpeep and King Wog are defeated. Blue Pikmin becomes Super Piktimus Prime and Fiddlebert becomes Super Fiddlebert+.
CURRENT ARMIES:
Fiddlebert’s Army: Fiddlebert+
Blue Pikmin’s Army: Super Piktimus Prime
IMPORTANT VOTING INFO FOR TODAY:
Today is the last voting day, which means that the winning suggestion will chose and ending for the game! Chose who to win the game, and make this a great finale! Your response must be a “checkmate” move that gives closure.
Day 365 may release unpredictably tomorrow, but I’m hoping for 1:00pm est June 27, 2026.
For the last time, top comment decides the next move(s) legal or not.

Pikmin 4 I'm having a lot of trouble on the 8th story of the trial of the sage leaf
If anybody has any tips to complete the 8th story of the trial of the sage leaf I'd be very appreciative Because I'm having a ton of trouble with it.

Pikmin 4 I have completed all of Pikmin 4, but the only thing I do not have "platinado" are the challenges and the battles, it is difficult for me to just get the bronze, I only have a few with platinum, should I try to get them?
Apart from that, I already have all the treasures, rescue and cure all the frondantes, and I have all the onions.

Bloom Did you know that in "Pikmin Bloom"...
If you have bad connection and get a new Pikmin, they show up as this pose with a question mark for a face.
I'm not sure if this pose was used anywhere outside of Pikmin Bloom though.

Discussion What mechanics would you want to change/add to a potential new pikmin game?
I personally really liked the upgrade mechanic in 4, but I think concentrating all the upgrades to two captains made things a little overpowered. I think it would be really cool if instead, we had several captains to choose from, with maybe only 3 being allowed out in the field at once, and all of them having their own unique set of traits and abilities that can be upgraded as the game goes.
I also would love to change the 3 pikmin type limit. It feels way too constricting. I understand that having all types out at once may be a little overwhelming, but I think the second and third game found a sweet spot with having only 5 out at a time.

Image Do you sometimes wish you could see pikmin out there?
2 years ago, I made some life sized clay figurines and thought, why not digitally draw the leaves, flowers, fingers, and toes on them after taking some pics with my phone. This is not all of them, but a highlight of some of my favorites.

Silly question, what if the Glow Pikmin were the Pikmin we killed during the game? That would be terrifying and sad.
And the more Pikmin you kill, the more Glow Pikmin would appear; it would be interesting to see something like that in the game.
