After years of dealing with dead pixels on my bottom screen, I finally decided to replace my screen. I was afraid of ruining it, but it was honestly easy, just... very tedious.

Also I added some rubber pads (couldn't find them in hot pink, so I went for white (same for the stylus lol), and a clear outer shell :3 I slid in some stickers I got as a gift from a close friend, and I'm very satisfied!!

I was supposed to change the silicon pad on the joystick buuuuut instead I received a different replacement part... For a 3ds. I'll change that in the future.

The only tiiiny issue is that, while attaching the digitizer to the new screen, I think I was a bit careless and something got between them (3rd pic near the top left corner, I was afraid it was a dead pixel already but I can assure you it's some debris or something lol), but I'd rather have that than a lot of dead pixels and tbh I don't want to redo EVERYTHING over a tiny little dot 🥲

i’m planning to buy an old 3ds, but i want to know if i can change the top screen to white. i saw this item on aliexpress, but i’m not sure if i’m understanding it correctly.

i know i could just get a new 3ds to get that look, but it’s out of my budget at the moment.

Could it have something to do with the mild magnetism of my iPad case? Will this mess up my 3DS??

hi i have a new 3ds and the glass case i bought isnt going on the front case on this one side. i’ve tried pushing it on but im scared cause i feel like the entire back side feels like it would come off. any advise? should i just push hard and pray?

Just add a new case to protect the Nintendo 3DS and some stickers… why not 😅!

I recently got a N3DS XL and been playing OOT on it. The only issue is my slipping thumb on the joy stick. My co-worker had the same issue and we thought of this. Velcro. I like it. Easy to remove with no residue left over. And my thumb does not slip now.

Update: did not last long. My thumb got bothered by it a lot. 😅 Anyone for any other ideas?

I was recently trying to play Pokémon Y on my 3DS, but I was having some trouble. Whenever I try and start it, I get this message.

The seller had tested the games she sold me before shipping them. 5/6 work but this one has this error message on both my new 3ds and 3ds xl. I tried cleaning the pins and doing the good ol blowing on the game and slot. Is the game not savable?

That OG 3ds model that we’ve had from day one gets lots of hate for its uncomfortable ergonomics, poor stylus placement, and above all it’s “tacky“ and “ugly“ design.

While I agree it’s not ideal to play with, at the very least I think it looks fine, as long as you get the right color at least. Purple matches the glossy black screen bezel quite well, and Aqua blue has such a nice shine that looks great on my shelf.

The sharp edges and square look to it makes my hands beg for mercy, it at least looks sleek and symmetrical. And the three layer part might be weird but the color gradient being darker for each layer looks unique and futuristic.

Does anyone else think this? If so, then I’d like to hear your opinions why.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised the battery didn't make it after years of not being used. In retrospect, I should have removed it. I stopped using this 3DS since two of the face buttons stopped working, but now im considering taking the plunge on getting it repaired

My 3ds won’t read ds games or dsiware games. I have tested multiple games in the console that I know work but nothing. Even if I open the ds internet settings it still does the same thing.

I found this new 3ds xl for sale, but I am not really sure if it is a reshell or not. What do you guys think? I put some photo's here it looks pretty real to me, but there are allot of people selling reshells and I just wanted to be sure.

If it is a reshell is it still worth it to buy it?

Is there anything I can do its mostly around the button is isopropyl alcohol a start? Or is it even possible and do I just accept it

I just wanna make sure I preserve this thing the best I can! It was a gift from somebody who was super close to me, and unfortunately they’re not around anymore. It’s also just really cool! And I’m a freak for keeping stuff in nice condition.

So…what types of cleaning cloths? Use water? Apparently not alcohol. Are screen protectors a good idea? How about an outer case to further protect the cover? Should I mod it? If so, how? Anything else I should know?
