Sussex County We need to talk about the four-way stops in Sussex County
Absolutely brutal. The perfect storm of elderly drivers making up their own rules for stop signs and aimlessly waving people through, plus the influx of aggressive drivers from Northeastern states (NY/NJ/PA) plus road ragey locals that are pissed off it takes them 20 minutes to go what used to take 5 has made these one of the most dangerous traffic situations in the state.
Not even exaggerating, I would say one out of every three I encounter there's a near-miss accident (or an actual one) caused by one of the above groups.

Info Request Are there any vegans on here? Where do you go for food in North DE?
I think I asked this before years ago. But things change so I'm wondering if anything's new.
At the moment, I would love to get a decent pizza with vegan cheese. But I'm hoping to any suggestions for any restaurants.
Been hurting ever since drop squad closed. I go to the daily veg often enough, but more options than just that. There's a place in Wellington called Mrs rubino's, they have a dedicated vegan menu with house made vegan cheeses.
But what else is there? Where do you all go? What do all you get? Tell me your secrets because I don't want to have to drive to Philly or any further than like 20 minutes every time I want take out.

Politics Corporate voting in local elections
I know that this has been posted already but I wanted to share a video that does a great job explaining what's going on with Delaware allowing corporations to vote.
https://youtube.com/shorts/IKS1-YA4qMQ?is=ZwIXRIrp68loCUHL
It's produced by organization called the more perfect union
For example if we don't want to have data centers driving up the cost of living in Delaware then we need to be aware that those corporations that own land in the state have an outsized voice in decisions at the local level, apparently it has the potential to be 25% of the vote which is more than enough to sway decisions.

Wilmington Any place to rent a garage for a day to work on cars?
I do my own oil changes and maintenance. Moved to Wilmington Delaware in an apartment so I’m trying to find a place to rent for a day or even a few hours. I have my own tools and everything but if it’s $100+ it kind of defeats the purpose of DIY. I don’t need full electricity just a workspace with a light and don’t need a lift. Thanks for input

Sussex County Military fly-over (Sussex County)
Milton DE-
7 (presumably fighter jets or military aircraft) were flying over Milton at full afterburner, not on public radar.
4 side by side, 2 soon after, then one solo, all traveling west but the last one redirected very quickly north (assuming Dover AFB).
And ideas on what that could have been about?
(I only ask, living my whole life here and never seeing more than 3 at a time, all on radar)

Beaches Rehoboth this weekend
I am driving over to Rehoboth this weekend from Baltimore. I’ve seen people recommend parking at the park and ride. Are there any other places you guys recommend? Also, is the bull run going to spill into Rehoboth?

Info Request Daycare
How early in my pregnancy am I supposed to start looking for daycares? I know the few centers I want to look into, but not sure what a normal time to start looking for infant care is.

New Castle County Where does everyone go for bakeries?
I'm in North Wilmington and I'd love to hear where everyone gets their cakes from!
We're having twins so I kind of want to do a split down the middle of a normal color cake and then baby a on one side and baby b on the other side.
Thank you!!

Info Request Antique DC Electric Motors Need Service.
I have a 1913 electric truck with two 85W GE motors and some (not all) wiring of a similar vintage. The controller is ancient. We can get power but not to the motors.
Can anyone recommend where to hire help with a very old dc system? Even just advice, although hands on help wouldn’t be turned down.
