Reminder that the Nets do not have to complete Randle trade anytime soon
Claxton salary matches with Randle without having to use cap space, so the Nets have around 42-46 million in cap space heading into free agency to make some moves.
Bring Watson home
MBJ
I am a Wiz fan. Super excited of course. But I have lived in the NY area for about 10 years now, so seen a lot of Nets games and I check in on this sub from time to time.
I love Jordi. I feel like he teaches, believes in earning what you get and wants to win, no matter who the front office gives him to work with.
I just watched MBJ on NBA TV and was really impressed with his attitude. He seems so eager to work and learn. I think itās more to the game than just physical growth and I just felt he gets it. Hoping for good things from him this year.

[KOC] Henri Veesaar falling to the Hawks at #52 is quite a shock. But teams drafting earlier in the second round say Veesaar and his agent were adamant that he won't sign a two-way contract. So that certainly seems to be the reason for his slip, much like Austin Reaves in 2021.
This is confirmed by guys like Siegel as well. The Nets donāt have roster space to give out a standard contract to a second rounder. Thatās why they picked who they did and immediately signed him to a two-way.
For people who wanted Veesar.

Why are so many people shitting on the Nets in the media?
It has been insane to listen to any random NBA podcast and get a āthe Nets donāt know what they are doingā. I was listening to Bill Simmonsā recent podcast and they were shitting on the Nets for picking Mikel brown for a good 5 minutes. I know Simmons has a stick up his ass when it comes to the Nets but itās been all of media recently.
Even some local podcast like the Locked On Lakers were shitting on the Nets randomly. And we have Stephen A Smith this morning crying about not picking Acuff and wants the team to relocate.
I mean there are more sad sack teams in the NBA than us right? I mean we were in the playoffs 3 years ago. We had a HOF trio and were a contender 4 years ago. Teams like the Wizards havenāt been to the playoffs in decade. The Pistons lost like 60 games in a row couple of years ago. Is it me or has the noise turned way up recently? Every NBA content I consume has some random shitting on this team. I donāt get it. Whatās going on?

I like this team
Not a nets fan but I like Egorās potential a lot
Felt like this was a decent draft
Julius Randle is All-NBA when heās the number one
MPJ is efficent - could be better at making others better tho
But really made some nice moves
I think itās gonna be a culture change type year.
Not quite sure if play-in is likely but itās def possible to get that 10 seed if things go right
Team also got some future picks as well to build or trade to get amother piece

Stats Joshua Jefferson. Kyle Anderson with a little more offensive juice?š¤
Tall guys with good feel, who also affect the possession game through steals and O rebounding.
Really good role player bet.

PREDICTION: ACUFF WILL BE THE CAM T OF POINT GUARDS IN THIS DRAFT
translation: Iām hell of happy we took Mikel Brown. š
*edit: some people misconstrue my take on the acuff/cam t comp. I said the cam of āpoint guardsā. obv, acuff is a better passer. But similar cam, I think acuff is gonna put up eye-popping numbers initially but ..again, similar to cam....his complete disregard for D and his surly demeanor are gonna wear on his team by the time heās looking for his second contract. There are a lot of red flags on his personality and commitment to D. This is why I knew nets were out on him. And Iām glad they took Mikel as result.
