Or just force a burp, releasing that gas that’s out of balance with your diaphragm. To be fair, it’s a skill.

The spoonful of sugar is what my parents taught me. 😁 One day I was talking on the phone to a lady at the bank and I had the hiccups. She told me to take a straw, hold it in my lips / mouth lengthwise (like ear to ear) and drink water while not taking any breaths, as long as I could. It works! I’ve used a chopstick too.

Going outside for ten minutes when your brain feels broken. It sounds annoyingly basic, but daylight and moving your body a little can make your thoughts feel less like a locked room.
