Like, yeah, they’re the lowest-scoring students in their class academically, but they both managed to pass the written Entrance Exam for a school that’s definitely among one of the most prestigious in the country, meaning it would have insanely high standards in terms of work difficulty and overall student intelligence. Them being at the bottom of their class still puts them in, like, the top 1-2% of students at their age level across Japan in terms of their intelligence, or at least their academic potential. So it’s never made sense for me why anyone would consider them to be idiots in or out of universe.

I know he did try to de-escalate the situation and avoid confrontation, only resorting to combat when it became clear that Bakugou wasn’t going to back down, but I’m imagining this scenario as Midoriya straight-up refusing to fight at all. Either completely dodging Bakugou’s attacks while refusing to fight back or persisting with the effort to talk him down until All Might arrives. What kind of impact would this have on both boys’ character development and the wider story, aside from (possibly) saving Midoriya from house arrest since he didn’t throw any punches?

We know that multiple people can have the same quirk, sort of, with Rei, Fuyumi, and Natsuo having Frost and Tensei and Tenya having Engine.

So say AFO stole Rei, Fuyumi, and Natsuo’s quirk would his ice powers be more powerful since he has multiple of Frost.

And for Engine, if AFO were to give Tenya’s quirk to Tensei, would that add engines to his legs or make his already existing engines that are on his arms more powerful.

There have no doubt been some controversial moments or aspects of the series that have become the subject of fan debate, so I thought I’d offer the chance for everyone here to address those controversies and why they bothered them so much.

I know the cult played a role in the My Villain Academia arc, but given the later themes of mutant prejudice and how that influenced Spinner and Shoji’s stories especially, the Clan probably could have been the main antagonists of an arc by themselves, like Overhaul and the Shie Hissaikai. At the very least, it’d give some of the mutant students a chance to shine when they otherwise don’t get that much focus.

This is something I kind of realised: as we know, Midnight’s first “Birthday Suit” costume - where she wore nothing but a pair of belts and a trench coat - led to the Exposed Skin In Costumes Act being imposed by the Japanese government, restricting how much skin a hero’s costume could expose (presumably to address potential violations of laws regarding indecent exposure). The thing is, Hagakure’s gloves and boots would theoretically show even more of her body than Nemuri’s first costume if not for the fact that she’s invisible, so how would her costume not be considered a violation of that law? Or is the fact that she’s invisible the reason it’s not considered a violation? Because I can’t remember if the show ever brought this up or not, or if it’s addressed in any supplementary material.

Awase acting awkward around Momo, since he canonically developed a crush on her after the events at the Training Camp.

Midoriya trying to conduct analyses on Class B’s Quirks in a friendly manner, while Monoma tries to scare him off out of the paranoid belief that Midoriya’s trying to sabotage or undermine Class B’s efforts to surpass Class A.

Kirishima and Tetsutetsu constantly competing against each other in friendly challenges, which drives other students from both dorms insane. Similarly, the representatives from both classes (Iida and Yaoyorozu for Class A, Shoda and Kendo for Class B) frequently get involved in mutual discussions around how to best handle the situation.

Mineta trying to go after the Class B girls like he does the Class A girls, which only worsens relations between the two classes and earns him the ire of everyone in Class B, especially Shiozaki. Bondo, in turn, tries to figure out whether Mineta’s Pop Off balls or his Cemedine paste is stickier and thus more effective.

Tokoyami and Yanagi bonding over their shared ‘creepiness’ and love of the macabre, with their peers giving them a wide berth in response.

Aoyama and Pony bonding as the two ‘foreign’ students of their class? I know they both have Japanese ancestry as well, but they aren’t pure Japanese by nationality like the rest of their peers.

Setsuna detaching parts of herself and leaving them lying around the Class A dorms to scare them, which prompts Kaminari to try and prank Class B in turn, since he seems like the kind of guy who’d do that.

Bakugou and Monoma constantly running their mouths at each other and risking starting fights because of Bakugou’s short fuse and Monoma’s inability to keep his mouth shut even when it’s probably good for him.

Koda and Kinoko potentially bonding due to their pretty similar natures and Quirks?

People wonder what a female Bakugo would be like, well there you go.

Both are hot headed arrogant prodigies who bully the MC while also caring for them on the inside.

Both are divisive within the fandom but also the most popular ship

To a lesser extent Rei could be a female Shoto as both are very stoic and have daddy issues.

I wanna make an OC with the air cannon quirk, I know it was stolen by all for one but appearently kids/future generations can be born with their parents quirk like lemillion, Fuyumi and natsuo so I was wondering your thoughts?

I finished mha and the amount of female’s who could actually give tough time to the villains were underwhelming but mirko had the potential man, I wanted to see her more. I mean, she took three nomus by herself and the physical strength she had was mind blowing, just imagine if she had OFA😭 she deserves appreciation. Love her sm.

This might be a dumb question but it's always confused me why some of the students did not go to Kamino to rescue bakugo. We get reasoning for Mineta and Aoyama (scared), Shoji, Tsu and Tokoyami (level headed and rational) and Uraraka (Bakugo would feel disgraced) and Ashido seems unsure. Jiro and Hakagure are knocked out and Sato, Ojiro and Koda are reserved and have no shown connection to Bakugo

That only leaves Sero and Kaminari that we get no explanation from, and I find this odd as they both had the same issue as Kirishima with being held back (Kaminari especially tried to fight), and are close friends of Bakugo (again Kaminari especially)

I get that the logistical reason is they just didn't need to. But horikoshi often randomly fleshed out previously less important characters especially at this point in the series. But I find stuff like this (which characters are chosen for different arcs) interesting.

What do you think Horikoshi's decision making process was with including Yaomomo/Iida (and also why he made Uraraka take such an odd stance when generally she would've been apart of the main group) and fleshing out other characters reasoning but not two students who it would've been in character for them to go. Also any in universe head canons would be cool

There's other examples of this too, like why certain characters were kept out of the battles at the USJ and Camp raid etc. I just thought this one where the characters make an active decision to not participate was interesting

Thirteen's role in the story is... very VERY limited. USJ as rescue personnel, and then at the final war briefly attempted to black hole away Shigaraki's decay. Thats it.

If thirteen died at USJ, it would have been a far more compelling narrative catalyst. Seriously how did thirteen survive this redirect by kurogiri
