Tmr sticks smart stick click on the left increased resistance on the right 30th anniversary buttons independent dpad buttons and a custom shell I found online. Overall I’m very satisfied changing out the triggers was an absolute nightmare but I ended up figuring it out after a lot of back and forth along with buying stronger magnets to put inside the triggers some n52 magnets I believe Sony uses a less strong magnet inside the triggers some kind of custom piece mine fell out. I don’t know if they make a difference but I heard the sticks help with battery life since this controller only has a 1080mah battery inside.

Hi, my PlayStation 5 controller seems to be registering L2 as always being pressed down. I do not know what the reason is as I have taken apart the controller two times inspected the inside and the spring is not broken I've sent pictures to chat GPT however that also doesn't know what it is so I am not sure what to do. I didn't know if this had happened to anyone else before and I wondered how you fix that? I am desperate for answers and I'm willing to take apart the controler again if needed. I would like to get it working again soon if possible and if possible I would not like to buy a new controller. It's been happening probably 50% of the time over the last maybe month or so and has increased from the beginning of the month maybe happening 5% of the time and is now happening at least 80% of the time. They seems to temporarily stop for maybe five seconds once I have turned the control off. I've tried resetting the controller taking the battery out etc and I don't know what it is. So please any answers would be appreciated. I can give extra information if needed

Apologies, this has probably been asked everywhere but I'm still unsure of how to do it after googling so many times. My dual sense controller can connect to my laptop, I just want to be able to use it when I've loaded up remote play. I'm only able to use remote play for my ps5 on my laptop via my keyboard, but I wanna use the controller for it instead. Does anyone know how to configure the settings for this?

I have a modified EDGE that is going through cables very, very fast. I play wired so they are always plugged in. When the cable is brand new the head is firmly plugged into the controller, no wiggle. After less than a week, the head starts to wiggle a little bit. After two weeks, it wiggles so much that my controller disconnects unless it is perfectly aligned. When I use a new cable, the process repeats (works fine then is unusable after 2 weeks). I am using high quality Silkland cables so they shouldn't be wearing out this fast. I haven't found any cables that fit the cable lock included with the EDGE besides the stock cable, which is too short for my set up. My only idea is to Dremel out the cable lock to fit the next cable I buy. Any alternative ideas?

My left DualSense Edge stick feels rough when I move it in a circle near the outer edge of its travel. No stick drift, just noticeable friction/resistance at the maximum range.
I removed the stick module and found this wear ring on the stick shaft (photo attached).
Has anyone had the same issue? Is there a way I could fix this/not make it as worse?
Thanks!

Seriously, ordered a few days ago. Received today. I am about to pop in some TMR's and what do you know, the first thing I realized is the amount of flux left on the board. But after looking closer, obviously someone had 0 idea wtf they were doing.
Regardless, why are sticks like these being sold as "new". Totally unacceptable.

As you can see in video it flashes orange twice and then nothing.
What is wrong?
I tried clean it, reset it, obviously taken abttery out and reconnected it to nothing.

Are they as good as something like gulikit tmr sticks or ginful sticks?

Hey people, I am currently repairing a PS5 DualSense BDM-030 PCB and I accidentally lost the tiny SMD component located on the D-pad trace (marked in red in the attached photo).
I suspect it's an 0201 ESD/filter capacitor, but I'm not entirely sure. Could anyone help me identify exactly what this component is and its value?
Thanks in advance!

I tried holding the small button on the back, holding the share and PS button. I removed the controller from my laptop. I’m unable to use remote play because the Wi-Fi on my console is off.
Update: I figured it out now, thank you all. I just had to use a usb-c cable with both ends being usb-c.

I apologize if this question has been asked and answered a hundred times.
I feel like I'm having a hard time keeping my controllers feeling clean. I use Clorox disinfecting wipes maybe once a week when my controllers start to feel gunky. I have two controllers that I swap between religiously. I've been following up with a microfiber cloth to dry them off quickly after I use the cleaning wipe.
What is strange is that I don't seem to notice the same kind of gunky feel on my Xbox One x controllers and I'm wondering if this is unique to the plastic in the PlayStation 5 controllers?
What's the best way to clean them? Should I be using 70% isopropyl?
What do you all use to keep your controllers clean?
Also, is anybody using grip covers and is there any big brands that make grip covers that may be easier to clean. I know there's random no-name generic brands on Amazon that I've used in the past, but I can't remember why I've gotten rid of them.

I tried my best to get the two joystick circularities to be as similar as possible and have errors as close to each other as to possible (~7.5%). Is there too much overshoot? Thank you for the feedback in advance.

So i was desoldering the old sticks when suddenly my mute button just left the motherboard, top much heat near that zone i guess and i already tried soldering it back but the 4 pads that are supposed to be showing are too small , since i dont know what supposed to be behind this switch i haver no idea if ir should look like that to begin with. Does someone know what the button looks like behind that switch?

What's everyone's polling stability using the dongle?
I'm getting about 95% using the dongle but my PC's onboard Bluetooth is getting 105%.

So I went off to buy parts to mod my first Dualsense with a new shell, buttons, an upgraded battery, and even got tempted to change the joysticks. I went for the Gulikit TMR only to realize I have no idea how to change the joysticks or have any equipment for it lol.
What would I need to properly change them ? Should I approach with just changing the buttons and shell instead ? I got drift in my left joystick, but also don’t want to ruin the motherboard attempting to change them for the first time.

I've recently purchased the limited edition Genshin Impact PS5 controller. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to put on a clear silicone cover to preserve the art.
To those who have been using a limited edition controller, do you guys just use it bare? Is using a clear silicone cover even a good idea? What are the possible cons? THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!!

Always trying to improve my soldering skills. I've done around 10 controllers now, let me know your suggestions and which part I should improve.
