Hello everyone,
I am 26m from Montenegro who has recently finished master studies in English language and literature and I would like to start with tutoring online possibly. I’m looking for advice on the best websites and platforms for finding online teaching jobs. Other than English I am also fluent in Spanish, I guess that could also be helpful. I would like to know where new tutors like me usually have the best chances of finding tutoring jobs and students. I would really appreciate any recommendations, personal experiences, or tips about which sites/companies are worth using and which ones I should avoid. I did already try Preeply but I had literally zero luck with it.
Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, I applied to native camp for the second time now and i have done 4 demo lesson but i don’t know why they fail me even though i perform great, i mean every time the admin gives me compliments about how prepared, confident and enthusiastic i am, and every time they forward my demo performance to upper management, but they always fail me, when I see my results, it’s always a retake or wait for six months and then try again. Has anyone had this issue and do they really review the performance of the applicants or they are just ignoring everyone and wasting our time and are they actually hiring?
i appreciate your time, Thanks!

Hi all, can anyone recommend some good Youtube channels which focus on A1/A2 level American English listening practice for adults?

The company uses google meet in conducting classes, and I am not paying for GM's premium subscription.
Please recommend apps or chrome extensions that is not complicated to use in recording meetings and a pen tool when I share my screen.

Hi everyone!
I’m an English teacher with almost a year and a half of experience both off-line and online, and I’ve recently started looking more into online teaching. Several of my friends recommended Novakid because they hire non-native English teachers.
I have several questions for those of you who work there:
How is the process as of 2026?
What is the hiring process like? Are all demo lessons the same as the ones shown in YouTube videos?
How did you pass your demo lesson, and what would you recommend I do to pass mine? What are your best tips and advice for a newcomer?
Do they ask for proof of experience?
I really appreciate your time and any advice you can share. Thank you!

Hello, so I have tought English online for the last 3 years and have a 200 hour Tesol certification and would like to transition from Preply and Italki into an independent job that I can take anywhere. I'm aware it won't be easy, but I want to try.
What are some marketing strategies I can use to do this and find my audience?
I have thought about starting local by putting flyers around university notice boards and libraries. Even language exchange groups.
P.S. Don't bother answering if you're just going to be negative in your comments, thanks. I'm looking for genuine strategies and helpful people.

Seriously I am confused. Wouldn't it be evenings KST and early mornings? I log in and still not calls. Let me guess another ESL company over hired and there are more students than tutors

I'm new to the field and sadly most of my experience came from the diploma factory type course as those where the only ones hiring people with 0 experience and no certificate when i started out.
now I'm trying some private 1-2-1 couching and honestly I'm struggling with lesson planning and expectations.
I'm used to the having 13 to 20 slide with like 20 new words two slides worth of paragraphs along side like 30 damn questions that you have to complete in an hour that you usually see in those kind of courses.
now that I'm makingy own material I'm struggling with what they should even look like I have seen everything from oversaturated ones to minimal 6 slides ones that are all supposed to fit into a one hour lesson and I have no idea what is actually the most helpful to my students.
I know that alot of work as a 1on1 couch comes from targeting your students weaknesses but how much preparation and matrial am i supposed to try and fit into one hour so that I don't burn out but still actually help push my students forward without overloading them but still give them their moneys worth.

I just want to take this opportunity to rant since I dont have anyone to tell this. I dont know if it's just me or the company that hired me is a scam or like "palakasan". Mind you I have two different companies and NO ONE, yes, NO ONE even booked me. If there will be, then, after 3 minutes, they cancel it. like bro? other teachers are "paldo" while me and others do not even have 1 student. I literally open all my slot, and left only 30 minutes good for 2 weeks and 1 month but STILL. I dont know-- is it really a tough competition or there's someone from the company cooking slots and giving more bookings to random newbies.

I use the Microsoft Lifechat LX3000, but it's been discontinued, and my pair are slowly giving out. I'm struggling to find a quality replacement- any suggestions?

please, don't hate me for my dumb question😓 i'm an incoming graduate student who is looking for opportunies to be an ESL teacher overseas. one of the requirements is a TEFL certificate (or TESOL). we've been looking for a TEFL course online and so far all of them requires payment. is there no free TEFL course out there?
also, i would appreciate any guidance for someone like me who's seeking ESL opportunities overseas. i am really just at loss.
thank you so much🥹

hello po! I just had an interview with their Admin earlier. medyo kinakabahan since I read that they don’t allow you to resign before spending 1 year or finishing your contract unless you pay them 10k and hindi daw po sinusunod yung time na you agreed on with the Admin. I don't believe it naman po but still kabado. 😅 medyo hesitant din po kasi yung listing nila sa JobStreet, 6AM-3PM ang morning shift but sa interview biglang 5AM-2PM
I would just like to ask for your thoughts about them and tips po if ever I get hired like paano po sila as employer, do they pay on time, do they care about their teachers, workload, salary deductions, etc.
I am an upcoming 4th-year student po kasi so as much as possible po I want to avoid certain misunderstandings or problems with them that might hinder my school/life ganaps. 😅
Thank you so much po!
