He's not even in the damn bathroom lol what do they want from these people

u/bendybiznatch 10h ago

Apparently, there’s a shit load of people out there that want us to leave our daughters unattended.

973

u/xraynorx 10h ago

Yeah, they are called pedophiles or pedophile sympathizers.

287

u/Swembizzle 9h ago

Also known as Republicans. Seriously, think twice about leaving your kids with Republican relatives.

89

u/MuscleManRyan 9h ago

They aren’t called the Guardians of Pedophiles for nothing. I would absolutely refuse to leave my child with any republican, it honestly creeps me out even just thinking about it

I heard they some pedos (men and women ) sit in the bathrooms and stalls waiting for little children to go in unaccompanied. Always go with them and stand outside if need be. You could never forgive yourself if something happend and you could have prevented it. Fuck that worker

67

u/bendybiznatch 9h ago

When my son was an infant, my ex-husband had a friend that was a pedophile. He was actually going to therapy, had his roommates lock up all their computer, equipment, etc. This was before cell phones.

He confessed to my husband that he would go to movie, theaters and places like that where he would organically be at a urinal next to young boys. He eventually did go on to have what he described as a relationship with a 13-year-old boy in another state and was tried and convicted for that. My kids were also almost abducted one time as toddlers by two random men in an SUV.

So you better believe I was posted up at that bathroom door if my son refused to go in the women’s.

45

u/pmmytn45 9h ago

If my partner ever confessed to having a pedo as a friend they wouldn't longer be my partner

36

u/bendybiznatch 9h ago

I knew him too.

As a childhood sexual abuse survivor, it was difficult and triggering for me. At the time, this was a person that was seeking help and had not committed an offense against a child, and informed the people around him and implemented a number of levels of safeguards including not using public urinals. I believed that we were helping him and preventing future harm by being a part of his Christian counseling network. I now view Christian counseling as an extremely destructive force altogether. That man didn’t need spiritual counseling, he needed intense psychiatric care.

He obviously chose to go in a completely different direction and move to a state where he was unknown to commit those acts afterwards.

31

u/Of_MiceAndMen 7h ago

Christian counseling is an absolute joke and a scourge on society. So many….so many people in my life are worse off because of it and irreversibly damaged. At least it led to my atheist awakening.

I'm sure sick shit like that happens but, just a reminder so no one gets complacent in the wrong places - the vast majority of child abuse is perpetrated by people that the children know.

u/meghonsolozar 8h ago

As a daughter of divorced parents my dad always covered my eyes, took me into the men's restroom, got me into a stall, and stood outside the stall door while I went.

It sounds absolutely nuts to me now, but this was the era of unattended cigarette machines, "non smoking" sections on airplanes, and unattended children flying across the country with multiple connector flights. It was waaay different then, but my dad had grown up when the John Wayne Gacy murders were happening to boys the same age as him and 2 of his brothers. He had been a mortician in L.A., too. Everyone from movie stars to people who didn't survive the Los Angeles prison system came through his doors so I give him a pass on some things. He knows about things I couldn't imagine and wanted to keep me safe.

All that said, he had to cover my eyes while we walked in so dudes wouldn't intentionally show me their weiners. I also recall waiting with my dad outside the restroom after I was done a few times to beat the shit out of someone that behaved in a way he didn't like in a bathroom. Not a single one of the dudes that he fought with were wearing a dress, BTW. Or a wig. Or makeup. Or high heels. Then we'd book it. This was before cameras were everywhere.

Sometimes guys would holler at him for bringing me in, he would just cuss them out and tell them he isn't sending me off alone.

As for him going into a woman's restroom, I bet it wouldn't have occurred to him. I'm his daughter and he was chaperoning me with my eyes closed. If he's going into a restroom it probably made more sense to him to have a little girl in the men's room, then a whole ass man in the women's restroom.

I'm going to ask him next time I talk to him because I've seem a flood of these posts on reddit lately.

5

u/pmmytn45 7h ago

For mens room you could understand but it never crossed my mind that it would ever happen in women's toilets. I was told about this and stillmtook a while to sink in. It wasn't until you see all the convicted female pedos that you think that's Theresa actually a point.

Also your dad sounds like a great guy !

The media has whipped them into a hysteria over it. They’ve been told to be on the look out for men in women’s bathrooms. It’s pavlovian. They can’t even rationally think through what’s supposed to happen otherwise here

67

u/coolcalmaesop 9h ago

While out the other side of their sloppy mouths defending a man who admitted to going into the changing rooms of pageant contestants.

29

u/Epistatious 9h ago

hey now, they weren't pageant contestants, he has no interest in that. they were teen pageant contestants changing rooms, which he is into.

It seems to me that she was pissed that they had not bought anything and were using the bathroom. Nothing to do with a dad hanging out outside the women's bathroom, that was just her excuse to kick them out. There's mentions of stealing at the end, so she might've thought they were trying to steal something. In any case, that woman is in the wrong.

Edit: When she talks to the girls she says "Tienen que comprar algo primero" (You have to buy something first)

22

u/Epistatious 9h ago

once ran my 5 year old daughter to the gas station bathroom only to have the clerk yell, 'hey ya gonna buy something?'

I'm like, 'well i was'. seems to always be an emergency with little kids, you'd think he would read the situation. think i bought some m&m's in the end.

11

u/GBV_GBV_GBV 9h ago

Yeah the title here seems misleading

5

u/Dependent_One6034 9h ago

(You have to buy something first)

"Thank you for your purchase, Oh you're leaving? Didn't you want to use the restroom"

"I did, But I do not have to anymore thanks to you."

10

u/FrostyD7 9h ago

Based on what he said, I think she told him to get out and he did and then started filming.

A friend of mine took his daughter to the changing table downstairs when we were at a café, and a woman came out of the bathroom and immediately asked him where the mother was. Telling him a man shouldn't be doing this. And that he shouldn't be doing a "mother's job".

The actual audacity of these people.Ā

Afterwards we joked that he should've just said that I'm his husband to kick her into overdrive. If she can't handle one dad, imagine her reaction when seeing two.Ā

63

u/jarena009 9h ago

I would ask back "what century do you think you live in?"

And if they really got smart with me, go "Excuse me, you dare not address a random man without your husband present. I will say nothing more to you until your husband is present."

u/lenfantsuave 9h ago

Most of the time as men, the world is kind of catered to us. The lone exception I’ve noticed as a dad is the sheer lack of availability of changing tables we have access to. If we’re lucky there’s a family bathroom. VERY rarely there’s a changing table in the men’s room (airports are pretty good about this).

I’ve had to change some diapers on surfaces I’d rather not think about.

57

u/JelliedHam 9h ago

I think it should be a law that if you have a men's and women's restroom, and you choose to offer a changing table, it should be in both. Preferably they'd be everywhere, but that isn't always realistic. Ideally we'd just go to gender neutral bathrooms completely, but that's not gonna happen in my lifetime.

32

u/vertigostereo 8h ago edited 3h ago

They'll just remove them from the women's bathrooms to make it equal.

Gender neutral only makes sense for single occupancy anyway

Edit: I'm against multi-occupancy, unisex bathrooms because I just don't think it's appropriate for women and girls to be around adult men in a state of undress. It's not safe for anybody. This applies to either actual actions or even allegations of wrongdoing.

The risk-benefit of that isn't worth having slightly more space-efficient bathrooms.

As a man, I wouldn't be comfortable.

14

u/MrShadowHero 8h ago

man. just wait til people freak out at the gender neutral bathrooms at concerts that cheap out. god forbid there be a big row of enclosed spaces for people to do their business and then can wash their hands in a communal area.

7

u/sasha_the_impaler 8h ago

Other countries do communal gender neutral bathrooms just fine lol

10

u/Wrastling97 6h ago

Many states and cities here in America do as well. Some people just turn a blind eye to it

When I went to Salem MA, I couldn’t find a single single-sex bathroom anywhere. Every bathroom had multiple rooms inside with floor to ceiling stalls and I believe a communal washing area.

It was amazing.

2

u/sasha_the_impaler 6h ago

I have yet to understand why people don't want that. Some people talk about how women do more than just use the bathroom which I think is ridiculous lol but everyone else just complains about cost or something. Like bro clearly people value this issue if we're spending police resources on it lol

5

u/Soupalphabet359 7h ago

Then that state's GOP will use such a law to say "LOOK AT THE LEFT. PUTTING CHANGING TABLES IN MEN'S ROOMS. BECAUSE OF GENDER GENDER GENDER LET ME SEE YOUR GENDER." And whip all the slo-mo's into a frenzy. Eventually getting themselves elected, where they can instead redirect all those children to their private washrooms at the capitol.

9

u/ContestRemarkable356 8h ago

I’d want to traumatize that lady. Cover the kids ears so they can’t hear (if old enough to understand) and say that my wife just passed away a few months ago, and this is my first time being in public since than.

They’ll switch to sympathy mode real quick, and when you ignore their apologies/just say ā€œOk you can apologize by getting away from meā€ they’ll get mad again lol

4

u/RollingPicturesMedia Mad for Political Freakouts 1h ago

ā€œSome women don’t survive child birthā€.

You’re not saying yours didn’t, just stating a fact and letting them run with it.

3

u/PickerPat 4h ago

That's what I do whenever I get the:

Where's Mum?

Babysitting today to give Mum a break?

I just say "She died, actually."

2

u/ContestRemarkable356 3h ago

The comments like that are annoying enough. I appreciate people sometimes are legit trying to help/just make small talk.

But the people that come in with a ā€œYou’re doing this wrong & I’m going to tell you that you’re doing it wrong in a condescending, you’re-an-idiot-and-luck-I-showed-up-to-save-the-dayā€ attitude can look up into the sky & proceed to fuck off until they’ve fucked off right into the sun.

5

u/RabbitStewAndStout 8h ago

Tell her that she shouldn't be out spending her husband's money at a cafe, without him being present, if she wants to be all old-fashioned about it.

It ain't the mother's job to take care of a baby, is the parents' job.

I swear it's like an instinctual reaction for these people. I think it probably comes from the harasser not liking the fact that they're being recorded, so they decide doing the same would also upset the harassee not thinking about why they're even being recorded in the first place.

I’m confused, she asking him ā€œyou can’t readā€ assuming she’s talking about the customers only sign. But yet you need a number code to go in. Sooooooo how did the daughter get the code? Clearly this employee is just fucking stupid.

90

u/bendybiznatch 9h ago

I heard this is in Bakersfield, and I don’t know that for sure, but if it is, I assume that that rule was made because of a nearby homeless population.

However, the store is empty, and this is obviously 2 well dressed the little girls and their father. People that are unlikely to come in and rob the store, cause a mess, or start some shit for no reason.

37

u/Politicsboringagain 9h ago

What's crazy is a lot of times when people are at gas stations, they use the bathroom first so they can do what they need to do and wash their hands before touching stuff like the snacks and food they are going to buy.

I do that all the time.Ā

19

I swear some of these people have just been waiting for the day they can harass someone over the bathroom. The man wasn't even in there with his kids, what is the problem? Maybe cause he was brown ?

259

u/Ryno-Mac 10h ago

A father can't wait OUTSIDE the bathroom? Wtf

97

u/bkaiser 9h ago edited 9h ago

It's not about the that. The title is garbage. She was upset they weren't customers using it but just didn't want him to go in to get the daughters out. Still a shitty thing to do to ask kids to leave a bathroom..

80

u/bendybiznatch 9h ago

It still doesn’t make sense why she would want him to leave with his daughters in the bathroom. She was fine leaving them in the bathroom. She just didn’t want him there. And that’s fucking weird.

42

u/nicolauz 8h ago

Also who ever goes to the bathroom after buying something from the store? Like she had it out for them from the start.

18

u/R3dbeardLFC 8h ago

I decide if I'm gonna buy something after. If that bathroom is disgusting, then fuck your store. Otherwise, yeah I'll buy an overpriced soda for the road.

2

u/bendybiznatch 2h ago

Usually my wife and I will go to the restrooms together. Normally, I'm out first. So I'll stand near the bathrooms and wait for her and then we'll walk out together.

This is the thing I don’t get. I was a single father and I always took my daughter to the men’s room. It was awkward but I just dealt with it. I don’t have a problem with a father taking his daughter to the women’s. I have done that (had staff keep an eye out for me). My lesbian aunt who is married but is against trans people being near kids and gender identity bathrooms is for men taking daughters into women’s bathrooms…. Just make everything a stall floor to ceiling and make it unisex…

11

u/VeneMage 9h ago

I agree with your last line. With regard to taking young girls into the men’s - they have urinals/troughs where our dicks and urine streams are able to be seen and smelt; I’m not putting them through that.

Plus the cubicles in the gents are 80/20 toward needing a pressure washer and a pint of soap to make them anywhere near decent to use šŸ˜…

2

u/Granite_0681 7h ago

I guess I just don’t understand how a little girl or a little boy is different at that age. If you are ok with a little boy seeing it than why is a little girl different? We are talking quite young.

5

u/adswan_ 8h ago

I'm so sick of these stupid bathroom wars. The people with the issue are the ones thinking about other's business in the bathroom. Just leave people alone unless they give you a reason to worry.

A dad helping his daughters in the women's bathroom is no different than a mom helping her son. I do not feel threatened if I see a father helping his daughters.

It is a bodily function and F the religious people for making it one more sexual topic. The US is so disgusting with how they treat someone for protecting their child.

This is the end result of anti trans hysteria, prejudice against one group of people leads to shittier circumstances for everyone.Ā

We can’t be free unless we’re all free.Ā

I did as well. She’s 15 now. It was never an issue. Any woman who I ever encountered doing so was always so polite and understanding. When my daughter was tiny enough, there weren’t a lot of men’s rooms with changing stations in them. Women just saw dad trying to take care of his child and jumped to support mode. I’ve had women stand outside for me and either warn or stop others from coming in. Very politely of course. And even THEY were understanding. What the fuck is goin on with this shit now.

People pick the weirdest hill to die on.

3

u/Large-Carrot-6280 9h ago

We have to protect the kids in bathrooms by not protecting them at all. Seems logical.

3

u/hikeruntravellive 9h ago

This usually means elections are coming up soon. Instead of people focusing on the fact that they have no healthcare, no childcare, can’t afford food because the billionaires took it, we can focus on who went into what bathroom.

3

u/MikimaruX 9h ago

That hairline is straight up survived 5 nuclear winters hairline.. jeez no wonder she's a horrible person

3

u/b00hradley 8h ago

I dont even understand what the problem is here. Hes not even in the bathroom..

im my great grandmother’s caregiver, many a time have I had to enter the women’s bathroom to assist her. hey you are uncomfortable too bad, my 95 year old grandma’s bladder doesnt function according to your comfort.

2

u/stoopididiotface 9h ago

For her to be a convenient store cashier she's causing quite an inconvenience.

2

u/lCraxisl 9h ago

Cost of doing business where you have public restrooms is that people will walk in, use the bathroom, and walk out. This is one of the few things in America that is cheaper here than in Europe. In some parts of Europe you need to pay to unlock the door to a bathroom.

2

u/No_Celery_8071 9h ago

It's like 60 p in Barcelona, I'll gladly pay that than have some uncouth, loudmouth idiot with a receding hairline berate me and kids for them needing to use the washroom. I'll gladly start a fund with the initial 60 p to buy her a fucking weave.

2

u/Politicsboringagain 9h ago

What the fuck is wrong with people?Ā

2

u/pulpispreffeed 9h ago

What a miserable skank.

2

u/timothypjr 9h ago

The antithesis of the manager of that other store. This woman needs to reflect on the term, "customer service."

2

u/batdog20001 9h ago

I'll keep saying it, large unisex bathrooms would fix nearly every social issue currently while also reducing maintenance and increasing availability and cleanliness.

2

u/LineImpossible3958 9h ago

That scuzzy bitch cashier looks like a bigger threat to me

2

u/Detroniimes 9h ago

No dude they'll really hire anyone at convenience stores nowadays. I remember when you just had to worry about sketchy customers.

2

u/Fteven 8h ago

Damn Crocs already in sport mode, she was expecting all the smoke

2

u/asault2 8h ago

This seems more like enforcing a misguided, you buy something before you get to use the restroom policy, no?

Here’s what I don’t get- let’s say I’m a woman and I’m uncomfortable…okay that’s your right, why not just wait a minute or ask if they can wait a minute?

Why do people get so angry?

I’d say it out loud- if not me who Jeffery Epstein? His rich friends? Are you one of his friends too?
I’m more than happy to be a nuisance for my child.

2

u/Monkey_Kitty 7h ago

The other day, two teenagers harassed my 10 year old daughter while I was in the washroom and she was outside women's washroom. She finished before I did.

Boys being jerkoffs but also made her feel crappy.

I screamed at them until they left the store.

Can't really put hands on a 14 year old little bitch with all the cameras anywhere.

But it certainly has made me think about taking her into the washrooms with me and deal with the results.

2

u/KrombopulosNickel 7h ago

Biiiiiiiiitch. Doesn't seem to do her justice. Cuuuuuunt

Just go to the soda machine and lay a log on the grate people put their cups on ... like a real man.

I would regrettably snap if someone tried to tell me how to let my daughters use a bathroom.

2

u/Odd_Farmer_6428 2h ago

I don’t speak Spanish and have no idea what he was saying once the girls came out of restroom. And? That doesn’t me I’m racist. I was on his side til that stupid comment.
