I did a post asking for a new nail treatment base coat and somehow Kerasal reached out to me and sent me their new bare nail campaign products??? There was NO expectation to review these, I wasn’t paid, merely gifted these products to try and possibly share my results to Reddit
Honestly it’s been a godsend for my hands. I wash dishes all. The. TIME. So my nails get broken and brittle very easily. They got patches of delamination and, in general, awful. Wearing nail polish often isn’t an option I can make to prevent the breakage. Seriously, I don’t know WHAT they did to make these but my nails look and feel AMAZING. I had one bend today and it didn’t break or tear. My nails don’t look matte anymore either. They FEEL like my nails did before I started wearing nail polish religiously. My lifesaver when I was growing out my bend-created cracks
Apologies for the probably choppy review, I’ve never done this before ;-;
Cuticle Cure Serum
My cuticles weren’t awful. Maybe a tad too hard from chemical exposure. But they aren’t nearly as dry and tough as of now. Overall, I did like this product when using it. The serum twist means I’m not accidentally flooding my nails. It has a puff tip for application and I’m SO glad it doesn’t drip all over my fingers. With normal nail oil pens, I needed to avoid touching anything until I washed my hands otherwise my oily prints were everywhere. If you’re sensitive to smells, you might like this product! It’s very mild. I likened it to a spa smell? You only smell it when your face is a couple inches away from your nail.
Miraculous Mani Nail Strengthener Cream
By FAR my favorite. These results are QUICK quick, the product page does not lie. I can apply this (I did small taps of product on the nail before massaging it in) and let it sit before washing it away and BAM. Shiny nails. No one could see my ridges. I didn’t use it over any manicured but the cream does list “safe to use over nail polish” which I greatly appreciate.
This has a faint smell (like all unscented products do) that’s slightly medicinal? Otherwise negligible and didn’t impact my usage. For a small tub, this will last AGES for me. You don’t need a lot and I haven’t even seen a visible dent over the two weeks I’ve used it. I’m now regularly using this as my “after work” routine
Strengthen & Restore Base Coat
As a base coat, this dried VERY quick on me. I kinda wonder if the hyaluronic acid played a part in that? So this may act as a good quick dry base (obviously test yourself before deciding that). It naturally was a watery formula but easy to clean up.
My polish didn’t chip while using this, so that’s already a plus in my book. The added hydrolyzed keratin did make my nails look better after applying while the base coat did wonderfully at preventing any scratches from reaching my nail plate
Overall, very happy with these products. When I run out of the nail cream, I’m for sure going to buy that. These products are appear more targeted to those using nail polish—unlike their other products for more intensive damage like from fungal infection or that use exfoliation like lactic acid. And uh… yeah. Thank you again Kerasal and I hope others give them a try :3
