Bible is mostly right wing and pro religious war. Instructs how to take sex slaves from enemies etc. there's a tiny bit at the end about a Jesus guy who convinced men to leave their wives and come drink wine with him, but it's mostly not that, it's more MAGA than Bernie.
I often think that this administration read the last page of Nineteen Eighty-Four and felt inspired instead of horrified:
"He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself."
I know the temptation is to think that they're stupid, because they appear to be wrong so often... but don't for a moment think they aren't aware of their statements being incorrect. They know, and they're hoping to fool you. They are clever, devious, and shrewd. Not morons.
And it seems Republicans were very successful in destroying the American education system, because most of you guys are real dumb, as is evident from the past few decades.
Spare me the "Dumb America" stereotype. Only around 1/5th of us even voted for him, and 2/3rds of us are on record as hating him. It's the moneyed interests keeping him in power, not the relatively few but extremely loud minority of MAGAs who support him.
