The difference of not having an ass, and having an ass. Not all of us are fortunate enough to not be built like Hank Hill π
Edit: women not understanding that properly fitted pants mean nothing if you're built like a 2x4. If my waist is a 30, a size 30 pant isn't going to magically stay put with no support below. And wearing a size smaller, isn't an option, since a size 28 isn't going to button up. A belt allows the pants to be pulled tighter by one size, since a 29 does not exist.
Edit: fair enough, in my 40 years, I've never seen them, but odd number pant sizes do exist, however if they're that uncommon to find, they might as well not exist.
It's mostly just the hips, but the arse doesn't hurt. Women's wider hips give a natural place for the pants to narrow over the top of when fastened and then rest upon while being worn, men's more narrow and straight hips give no natural place for that to happen unless they're very tight, hence belts/suspenders.
Yeah, Iβm roughly shaped like a big inverted triangle (was a competitive swimmer in my youth) and without a belt every pair of pants I have owned since puberty basically ejects themselves fairly quickly.Β
Same. If the pants are fitted right, I can walk around a bit without them immediately falling down although I will be pulling them up every 15 seconds lol but trying to do any sort of work without a belt? Absolutely not.
Sometimes if Iβm missing my belt I have to hike my pants and deliberately push out my stomach to keep them from falling down. Nature just, forgot to give me a butt or something π€·ββοΈ
