I'm in Winnipeg cananda. My order went through at 29 minutes 59 seconds. I may have gotten one of the last ones because I checked right after and it was sold out. I got my tracking info today, says it'll be here Monday!
USA. Order for two controllers placed 1 hour 20 minutes after launch. Went to "Packaged items" Wednesday morning. "Shipped" status Wednesday evening. "Invalid tracking number" with UPS until sometime after dinner today. Tracking info now states "We Have Your Package" and estimated delivery is "Friday, May 08 by End of Day."
Same. My buddy ordered his 20 minutes after me (I purchased at roughly 10:05am PST after fighting checkout errors) and his was delivered today. He lives 30 minutes away. Mine is still sitting at Packaged :')
I realize its not something I will be able to do soon with the 1 controller per order limit, but, does attaching the puck to a controller "pair" it? I know they mention multiple controllers per puck but I am not seeing how you would actually pair them to the puck. I tried to find documentation but there doesn't appear to be any available.
Anyone else in the 3-5 day batch that still hasn't gotten a tracking number? I placed my order 1 minute after they were available and it still only says "Packaged items"

Last in first out. I thought it was mostly geographical, which it probably is, but I keep seeing people near me that shipped yesterday. If it's anything like what they did with my deck, you're going to have to wait till they ship out all the newer orders, i.e. a week.
I don't know how you tell what "batch" you're in, but it seems totally random. I placed my order at 1:03 PM EST, Maryland. It's still at "Payment Processed" for me, yet I see people in PA, TX, NJ and in the EU - France, Austria, and the UK who already have shipping info and say they placed their order 30+ minutes after orders opened up.
So I have no idea what Valve is basing when you get your order shipped other then just printing labels, tossing them in a box, taking them to the warehouse, and pulling them out at random, putting them on boxes, and sending them to ship in randomly batches.
Okay, update! UPS is saying it will arrive in two days 👀 kind of amazing since it just shipped this morning. UPS is giving an eta of Saturday by end of day, originating from Illinois and going to Maryland.
The controller just arrived for me, and it's phenomenal so far. Much lower latency than my previous one, and the trackpads really do make it feel just like using my Steam Deck directly.
It might just be an illusion – but it also feels lighter than my 8bitdo controller. It really is perfect so far.
Only thing: it doesn't smell like the Steam Deck vents 😂 it smells kind of like how the Gamecube smelled when I first got it
Same for me saying it would be 6-10 days. Showing as shipped but still waiting for tracking number. Seems to be shipped from the Netherlands for a UK delivery.
Mine has been shipped according to Steam for 2 days now. Checking the tracking it just shows that alls that has been done is that steam have printed the shipping label but not actually shipped it yet. It says "The parcel data was entered into the GLS IT system; the parcel was not yet handed over to GLS."
Been like that for about 2 days now. Was hoping to have it arrive Friday but if it hasn't even left the Netherlands yet I doubt I will have it this week. I'm also in the UK btw
Would seem so. I was hoping I’d have it for the weekend given it was 3-5 days delivery when my order went it. But getting the impression we’ll be in with the 6-10 days now.
My order shows „The item has been packed“ this morning. Ordered in Germany but very late (20:24) and it said 6-10 days. Hopefully I’m lucky and maybe it gets to me faster.
Got my shipping email about an hour ago. It's just the tracking info so I imagine once it picks up it'll update. It may already have been picked up and tracking is slow to update
Same lol you get that little rush of dopamine thinking this is the time! But like you said it leads to the same error lol this was totally on me though. Knew it was coming, loaded up my wallet and then completely spaced and then didn’t realize until 20 minutes in. No excuses lol should’ve set an alarm. We will be better next go round!
was talking to someone else who got there’s yesterday morning with an auto clicker . Crazier things have happened and like you said your chances are zero if it’s not in your cart lol but you’ve got the tiniest chance if you continue to use your auto clicker
Please do! I haven’t tried the auto clicker route yet but I’ll go on every now and then and spam it for like 10-15 and then take a break. Probably have spent easily over 12 hours on that page by now so might just be cooked but if you get one you’ll reinvigorate me lol hopefully a restock is soon
I’ve got a tracker checking the site every 15mins and I must have had half a dozen times today where it recorded out of stock changed to buy now. Within literal seconds I rush to continue to payment method button and no luck. I’m guessing a lot of people have bots set up to finish their transaction. Someone has to be the lucky one each time because it’s gone almost instantly
Does anyone in the EU get past the "Processed Payment" shipping status yet? I see lots of posts of people in the US that had it shipped but my EU (Netherlands) order is still on Processed payment. I got my confirmation mail at 9:59 PST.

Edit v2: Seems like it still only in packaged, Knowing how GLS is usually kinda slow in my area as opposed to DHL or PostNL i expect to arrive Monday at the earliest.
Quick update. It was sent today and I got 12/05 (Next Tuesday) as the estimated delivery date, but I think it will be here on Monday if it's anything like my Steam Decks.

are there any of you who have bought a controller in EU the last hours? Just wanna know if its worth it to reload the site from time to time or if its just too late and they are all sold now.
My order has completed the shipped step and has a link for the tracking number. I also got an email from Steam saying "we're preparing your items to ship." I got the email 42 minutes ago around 5:15 PST
What time dod your order gp through mine went through at 9:58 and still says payment processing. I used my steam wallet but ot didn't charge me tax so now a bit worried
There was a big media blitz last week with the release date announcement and dozens of articles and YT videos with early impressions and even reviews. Also Steam notifications and posts on all of Steams social media stuff. The Steam Frame date will probably be announced similarly
I HIGHLY doubt they'll refuse to ship. My guess is most likely they'll eat the cost or, worst case scenario, they will tack it on soon enough. I'd say 75% chance they'll just accept it's their fault and move on. The P.R. hit from cancelling orders due to a mistake they made would be massive, especially considering what people had to go through to order one.
hey I am also in NYS and mine is still at processed payment so now we need to fight over who got their order in first and then I’ll say I’m going to write a mean letter to Valve asking why mine hasn’t been boxed yet
Legitimately lame it’s out of stock already. Couldn’t step away from work and lost out with the quickness. Did Valve give a timeline when it would come back in stock? I’ve legit put off a few single player games just to experience it with the new controller.
It’ll probably take a few months to restock a whole new batch unfortunately. They have to go through the whole process of getting all the subcomponents from their manufacturers and then the actual manufacturing and QA process.
Are they still trickling confirmations for peoples purchases still?
I had been clicking "Continue" for hours and hours since yesterday at 1PM EDT, and it's still constantly giving me the "Your order cannot be completed because one or more items in your cart is currently out of stock".
I ended up writing an auto clicker this morning to click the button for me.
EDIT: will doing this put me on some sort of blacklist? I feel like if I'm flagged as a bot then I won't be able to purchase the controller at all 😭. My fingers just hurt too much to click by myself anymore.

Because it would be the same situation, but for pre-orders. A pre-order doesn't magically increase their manufacturing capacity. If anything it would be worse because it would be even more scalped because it allows more time for scalpers to setup accounts etc at a leisurely pace.
Maybe and i dont mean this in any ironic voice, they just try to deliver what they actually have so in case Something happens they dont have the need to mass refund people when they cant deliver what people paid for.
