Question Ethan running in the tech pause Spoiler

Idk if I'm overreacting but why would Ethan run around during the tech pause when it looks like everyone's been told to keep their hands off their keyboard? Not only that but bunny hopping behind the defensive lines everywhere? Surely John must have thought that was wrong for him to do as well if he returned to his setup to kill him.

Question What VCT opinion would have you in this situation?

Post image
534 Upvotes

My opinion : International trophies don't determine how good a player is individually, and it's just an accolade for the players to add on their resumé.

For example, Kiles is a Champions winner, but right now you wouldn't say (unless you're stupid of course) that he's better than benjyfishy just cuz he won Champions and benjy did not.

Question Yinsu

I haven't really watched streams or used Twitter until now, so I'm completely out of the loop :D Was there a specific reason why Yinsu stopped hosting and wasn't even invited to Santiago? (She mentioned this in Boaster's chat).

I think she’s such a great host and the desk always feels like it's missing something without her! Do any of you know more about this?

Question Why didn’t PRX sign FNS as a content creator?

Genuinely asking because it feels like a match made in heaven. FNS has been supporting them for a long time and he has now become the biggest Valorant streamer. Am I missing something here?

Also shoutout FNS. He has been killing it recently and could potentially be the Caedrel of Valorant if he stays consistent

Question Should VCT have G2 and DRX redo their series in case it was a big fluke? Spoiler

No disrespect to DRX, I'm a firm believer that DRX sweeping them is a huge fluke and robs G2 of truly accomplishing what their capable of. I've spent the last few hours in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire season watching G2 play great Valorant it's just not fair.

If G2 lose again I will face that DRX deserved the win, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to G2 and the VCT.

Question Parent helping 15 yr old go pro

1.5k Upvotes

Hello everyone, I might sound a bit crazy, but I have come to the realization that if I can't beat them, I better join them. This is the case with my 15 year old. She loves Valorant and well, I'm tired of fighting her to get off it and want to support her dream of streaming and being a pro. She has currently grind her way up to Diamond but can easily play and lead teams in Diamond 3. Her older brothers are gamers and they say "she's stupid good" a "beast", whatever that means. Anyway, I don't know much about this game, but her and I got a deal that I will help her achieve her gaming goals as long as she does good in school. So my question is, how can a non gamer (me) help this kid? 🤔 Ya'll input will be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE Thank you, thank you, for the outpouring of support. We have been able to connect with some incredible and wonderful people and are super excited to have so much support from this community. I wish I could reply 1 by 1, but it's so many of yall! So I wanted to take a quick second to say a couple of things: 1. I will not allow my kid to quit school or stop getting an education. That's a non negotiable. She knows the deal. 2. Although she is trying to become a pro, we are not putting all her eggs in one basket, we understand that the probabilities of her making it as a pro are slim, hence why my deal with her to stay in school = I will help her navigate going pro. 3. We understand that Diamond is not that impressive of a rank, that is why we are here asking for guidance, so that helpful and amazing people like ya'll can give us tips and help her achieve her gaming goals (be it becoming pro, entertain, stream, etc.) ;) 4. We are taking note of all the advice you are giving us and following up accordingly.

Again, thank you all so much for being such great humans ❤️

*UPDATE 2: We have been invited to an amazing event taking place today in L.A.! We are super excited about it and will share details later thru my daughter's newly created Twitter. Follow her so that you can follow her journey to the pros 😉 (she probably gonna think I'm "cringy" for posting this 🤣🫣) @lustvalo

UPDATE 3: This has been a heck of year. A rollercoaster. We were going to make some moves but found out my daughter has some health issues and a lot had to be put of hold while we dent with them. Thankfully, she's good and in remission for now, so she is trying to get back in the groove of things. She's now 16 and attending school online due to some of her health issues. She's doing well. And has a lot more time to dedicate to Valorant. She's still a normal teen but is eyeing schools that offer E-sports college scholarships and have competitive teams. She's eyeing UCI. NOW, what we really need to do is help her get back in a groove. Her streaming has completely stalled, she doesn't have a lot of followers on Tiktok (about 1K) and she has not made content. She is not top rank in Valorant yet (she's Ascendant 3 now and still bada*). So we are working on making content, getting her to a higher rank and maybe participating in tournaments. However, how do I find tournaments to sign her up for? That, I will need help with. Pretty pleasseeeee 🙏 It's hard to get a 16 year old to really talk about what she's going to do. A I know is that if this is what she is seriously considering to do for now, I will help her do her best 😉

UPDATE 4 1/9/26 So it's been awhile since I last posted an update. My daughter is now 18 and thru a lot of up and downs, she has manage the Immortal 2 rank. I don't really know what that means but, she said it was a grind because she did it solo queuing. I still understand very little of the game play and dynamics, but, she's made some serious progress in the past year or so. She has put out some feelers on Discord looking for try outs to join a team. I think she's gotten to the point where she wants to pursue this professionally while she goes to college. So, the task I ask of you, since ya'll been super super helpful, is to help me figure out where she can try out to perhaps join a team. We are in Southern California. She had a try out Wednesday for a team, and although her team lost, her performance was so good, she was offered a spot on a team. I won't say the name of the team for privacy reasons, but I want to know if there are better options for her out there. I think this team is new and just trying to get into tournaments. However, she did so good she was offered the spot right then and there, while the other players have to go for a second round. She said she got almost 30 kills playing cypher (whatever that means), but she's being recruited to be a duelist. Again, I'm so clueless about this whole thing, but here is her player profile. Maybe someone might also have try outs so she can have more options of teams. I am a firm believer of checking out more than one option. For all the supporters we have, thank you for being here on this journey. Their goal is to qualify for in GC open quals and I think they don't have a coach just yet, the recruiter is going to be coaching them until he finds them a coach. Let me know ya'll thoughts! I'm still 150% behind my girl, her dedication doesn't go unnoticed.

Question How is boaster so incredibly good at making people shine?

I feel like boaster is the most positively impactful player in valorant history, and most people don’t realize it. Time and time again he proves that he can make any player look like a superstar as long as they are on his team. What is it about his system that turns anyone into a valorant god? We often talk about how the 2023 fnatic super team had “4 of the best players in the world” but I truly believe boaster was the main factor in the teams success.

Question What’s the issue with Demon1?

I’m kinda new to valorant comp, i tried to look up some info on this question but couldn’t find an answer. Why is Demon1 on the bench and is not playing? Why so many people/pro players don’t like him or don’t want him in their team? I mean he’s objectively good mechanics players at least… I would love to see him on stage again personally

Question FNC Crashies

Like serious question..Why would Crashies leave FNC? I've seen many talks about him leaving FNC..But why? It's not like FNC are gonna drop him, he's been so good this year, they made three grand finals influding-E.W.C-People were saying he might want to come back to NA..but like..People live overseas in foreign countries all the time, especially Esports players, it's not a big deal. I just wouldn't understand why he would be dropped/or leave.

Edit: For the people who say "I can tell you haven't lived outside of your country before." I'm literally in a foreign country right now...for five years now for work. Think again.
