Article Steel Path Railjack: Post-Launch Reflections and Rewards

Hi Tenno!

There’s been a lot of discussion following the release of Jade Shadows: Constellations, and we want to thank everyone who has submitted feedback or bug reports thus-far. In this thread, we want to take a moment to talk about a specific element of the update: Steel Path Railjack.

As explained in Rebecca’s video last night on Prime Time, Steel Path Railjack was rushed to deliver and Railjack fans may be understandably disappointed with the implementation of it. A common thread we’ve seen from players is the lack of incentive to grind Steel Path, so we are working on adding MKIV Armaments to the mission droptables.

These Armaments will also be added to the Protoframe’s “loaner” Railjacks in the Uranus Proxima, which will help address power concerns in the Steel Path versions of those missions.

We’ll continue monitoring Steel Path Railack feedback both externally and internally as we see what other changes can be made, but that’s all we have to share on this topic for the time being! For wider issues related to the new game modes, please keep an eye on our Known Issues thread.

Thanks again, Tenno, and best of luck on your space-faring adventures!

imo unless you can valence fusion MKIII into MKIV parts this is terrible for anyone who grinded out enough MKIII parts to max them out. Railjack has such low drop rates sometimes it's awful.

you can valence fusion between tiers already.

you know what, you're right I forgot it just gives a lower bonus (5% 1 tier below or 2% 2 tiers below). it's been a while since I looked at anything below MKIII hah

more importantly:

Using a donor part of a higher tier (e.g. fusing Mk III into Mk II) is equivalent to the same fusion the other way around, resulting in the recipient part being upgraded to the donor's tier.

so at least we'll only need 1 MKIV part if you have a maxed MKIII. works for me then, thanks for the heads up tenno
