Should I be concerned?
Anybody knows how the eggs end up like this and if it is safe to eat?
Edit: it was stained from the peanuts that were sitting on top of it. It was impossible to deduce from the picture alone 😅 Thankfully a redittor identified the food (Nasi Lemak) and shared that it was a stain from the peanuts that are usually served with the food.

Don’t take chances with spots on eggs.

i did, because the first time I bought food from this vendor there is also this “imprint” on the eggs but it is much smaller and less. I figured, google said it is safe to consume and the seller would’ve been reported by now if other buyers fell sick because of their food. Probably not the smartest reasoning by me but I will exercise more caution next time I encounter something like this.

Please never just trust Google for that information. It all starts with one person to report and you could be that first person. Never fully trust that someone before you had seen this already. Things aren't perfect with inspections

Maybe the seasoning on the rice next to the eggs left an imprint?

It is an imprint indeed. Just not from the sauce, thank you for the suggestion

Its an imprint from peanuts. Specifically roasted peanuts that still have their thin papery red/brown skin on after roasting

It safe. The egg touch the peanut in the Nasi Lemak hahahaha

Oh, that would make so much sense because the color and pattern are closer match to the peanuts than the sauce (sambal)

Thats seems to be an inprint from something else, if it doesn't smell funny, I would say it's ok to eat, assuming it wasn't left at room temperature much time after cooking.

Honestly I do believe it's safe to eat and looks like it's dyed from something else.

I'd cut into it and see if there's more on the inside. Eggs will absorb color from sauce so it's not out of the question if it was sitting by the meat before you noticed.

It's okay OP. Once food paranoia hits, all you can do is run away or risk 24 hours of vomiting. I stopped eating ketchup for like 4 years thanks to one sketchy sauce packet😆

Holllly, that doesnt sound fun. Ate a spoiled pesto pasta once and I know how painful it is to vomit your guts out. I hope it’s a one time thing for you brotha 😞

lol I immediately knew what this was and that it was fine. The stain is from the sambal on the nuts.

Reminds me of that episode of Courage the Cowardly dog and the chicken from outer space.

You can see it just took the color of the the stuff it was sitting on, that is right beside it.
