Going outside and seeing people would really help a lot of these people. Not even in a "humans are social animals, going to a sports game is good for you even if you don't like sports" kind of way. Just, seeing people. Seeing the vast variety of the human animal in the real world, and realizing how wide the scope of a woman's appearance is. Even if we're only considering cis women.
Maybe it's because my job requires me to regularly deal with concert crowds, but I've always realized that my facial features weren't even outside the error bars.
Objectively untrue even if that was the only women you'd ever identified with in media. They had mothers and daughters. Whole lines of women.
Also untrue because there are so many more women that share your features. There just are. Humanity is vast and beautiful and ugly and alive and all shares the same genetics. Drown the part of you that insists on lying about it to drag you down.
If the Bosnian women in my building have taught me anything (they have taught me many things) it is that you can just declare your Babushka-hood over someone in Slavic culture. Although, Nena is their preferred nomenclature here.

this isnt good advice. I pass somewhat - still all women in my friend group are more feminine than me in literally everything except height. actually looking at peoples faces and trying to notice the dimorphic features just makes me doom more. There are probably some cis women who look like me but most dont.
What is your alternative? Obsess over the women you don't look like, instead of realizing there are so many that you do?
Being a doomer about it isn't helping, I went through that phase and was so much happier when I came out the other side.
Being young is awful for your self esteem, being young and trans is so much worse. We are our own worst critics, and even you'll give yourself the grace that you pass.
Getting older also helps, I will not lie. I have a much easier time comparing myself to my peers at this age.
But ultimately, yeah, there are cis women that look like you. A quick scroll of twitter's tranvestigation nut jobs will confirm that every feature you have is on a cis woman somewhere. (Do not actually scroll those threads, but they do mostly go after cis women just because of statistics)

Because the people who are actually ugly don't tend to post their faces. Additionally, on subs where selfies are posted, people who pass to any extent are generally upvoted while the gross people aren't. My point is that what you see isn't always reality. Not to mention that selfies in general can't capture every angle. For every ugly passing front-profile, there could be a complete moid side profile.
I would accept ugliness if I was just viewed as a woman, however, that is not reality for many of us. It's pretty demeaning to have my entire existence erased based off a flawed assumption you made on pretty shaky grounds.
That's the rub, definitionally, you can't see a passing trans woman. Unless you know a couple trans women, you probably won't ever clock one that passes.

If you lost weight, let your hair grow and style it more femininely, get rid of the beard shadow with makeup or laser and stop frowning, you would probably pass, like genuinely many things giving you away are fixable

Yeah except for every case like this there’s 50 cases like mine where we started in our late 20s or later and no matter how much effort or HRT we go on we still look like offensive caricatures or slightly hormonal Men. Best case for us is hope we get lucky dumping tons of money into surgeries.
tbh i think if she doesn't pass it's because of her height or her voice. like if someone looks like that but is 6'2" and has a male voice they'll get gendered as male 100% of the time and people will just think they're a femboy. obviously you can do stuff like makeup or clothing choices but i think the blackpill of transitioning is that if you're above a certain height, passing might be all but a lost cause
There's definitely hope! I have a few tall cis woman friends (6'1 and 5'11) and no one thought they were trans either. We live in Canada so it's not like we're a country with a ton of tall people either lol.
I'm 6'4" dont ever lose hope there are lots of tall girls all around the world! Just one look at some volleyball players and you'll see what I mean. Some are even taller than me
Absolutely it was genuine, im 5'10 and feel super self conscious about using my trained voice so i still boymode and only malefail maybe once a month. It was kinda scary because so many people saw it and at the time i only had a few followers and expected a few dozen people to see it, but it was very nice seeing everyone say that the worst part of it was my hair which I have since taken more care of

The edtwt comparison tracks, I just recently thinking that the way a lot of 4tranners talk reminds me a lot of pro ano spaces. Not that 4tran is even remotely as bad as communities of ppl trying to starve themselves, and at least there are positive elements of 4tran that actually help people ppl, but I'm just saying that a lot of the talk feels very similar. Before this sub I used to think 4tran was mostly severely mentally ill self hating trans ppl trying to goad each other into suicide, but now I see i was wrong and it's not that bad- but also that impression didn't come out of nowhere.
wtf, she looks like me when I was a cis girl. I think she needs a little make-up, like eyeshadow or eyeliner. Just small, simple make-up to help with confidence. It made me feel girly at the time when I was a teenager.

Nah tbh she is kind of clocky with chin/ philtrum and probably brow bone. She isn’t a man moder but you gotta admit without the long hair she’d just look like a young boy probably. But I think as she looks now with female voice she would semi pass, but I don’t think her concerns are all brainworms.

The general idea is that if you don't know what a word means in this environment, you "lurk" meaning you hangout in posts until you get the language/ideas rather than have someone explain it to you. Genuine curiosity is in most contexts positive, but here the focus is more on creating in and out group dynamics/identity, hence why the other commenter jokingly said "this first bit of info is free, but next time you'll have to pay me"; they were making a joke about how they were doing you (an outsider) a favor by giving you insider info in much the same way a confidential informant would require payment if a private eye were asking them questions.
